Real life boycotts do.  You go enjoy Bioware while they still last.  EA will end Bioware as Bioware ended Mass Effect.  Only a matter of time.

Allow me to rephrase: boycotts in which only people on the internet participate don't do ****. Your remarks about BioWare's future aren't very persuasive, either.

I won't be buying anymore ME products unless more endings are added. I'll still buy other Bioware products though.

I don't know if bioware is to blame to be honest...I would be quicker to blame EA, whose greedy asses likely forced bioware to rush ME3 on to the market in time for the best time of the year for profit.

Considering what we know - Bioware did a 'lots of speculation' switch late in the process.
It might be quicker to blame EA, but we have no indication at all that it's an EA thing. But we have plenty it's a people at Bioware thing.

Maybe both of them are to blame. Either way, things started going downhill after bioware sold themselves to EA. In the age of platforms like kickstarter where YOU CALL ALL THE SHOTS creativity wise and your fans fund you directly, I have no idea why greedy publishers like EA still exist! <_<

If you people can't see that BioWare has been going down hill since EA bought them, I don't know what will.

All I know is, BioWare has been getting worse as time goes on. This for me, was the last straw. I don't plan on buying anymore BioWare products, unless they address this (and that is looking slim). Surprised to see so many still eager to buy their products.

lol They probably won't fix anything. Why bother. Their fans won't do **** about it. Complain a bit, then go back to loyally eating up all their products. Sounds win win to me. They just have to ride it out. This is what you get when you have consumers that take **** lying down. Terrible.

Really?  So you'd be willing to go through something like this all over again for Dragon Age 3?

Well I wont be pre-ordering bioware/ea games anymore, that's for sure. I'll wait till there is a consensus amongst gamers(ie NOT major review sites).

We already know Dragon Age 3 will be a disappointment. No one cares.

I dont see the point of buying Bioware games anymore. They set out a new course with DA2 and have been following that path ever since. Consquenses be damned. They arent making games that cater to me anymore. However they seem to think they are, which I fnd rather odd.

So... will I buy another game from Bioware? Not very likely to be honest. DA3 with be DA2 with nicer graphics and more pew pew, more "streamilinging" (thats less dialogue and lore cohesion) and it will end wiht "lots of speculation". Funny. Ive never played a tabletop RPG where the story ended with "lots of speculation" nor have I really heard of any trilogy or end of a work of litterature that did. ME4? I cant imagine how the hell they are going to make that IP interesting again, and besides im not going to take the chance of investing hundreds of hours and getting attatched to toons only to have every sense of achievement and effort yanked from under me in a matter of minutes.

I will however be here on the boards, enjoying the feeble and inane spin, the ridiculous and overused catchphrases that they seem to believe are able to con everyone all the time. And ill continue to dissect these messages and show people how much Bioware really "cares" these days. Just for the hell of it. For my own personal amusement. Because the PR is so feeble it is laughable, and hell, everyone can use a laugh now and then :)

Retake Mass Effect is unprecedented, and if Bioware doesn't address the problem I can see this turning into Boycott Mass Effect.

As for the appeasement people... how can you seriously tell us to bend over backwards just so that mighty EA doesn't take away our (EA) servers or a Bioware's funding?

I thought most only bought the ME titles , considering this is the final game of the trilogy. I don't plan on buying anymore games from bioware until they announce a spin-off game.Even then I'd probably just buy used , rent or buy at a lower price. If nothing changes with the ending this is pretty much my plan along with not being invested in future titles as much(no need to really boycott just voice your displeasure with your wallet/purse).

i saw the reviews on DA2 and avioded getting it i have no plans to go for DA3.
as for issues of ME3 the longer the pissed off gamers wait...the sooner the fixes should come.
Retake ME3 may won the battle against Case Hudson but so far its just words.
Same words of broken promises to the ME3 game.
Saying goes:
actions louder than words. Battle is a win but the war is not over.

That's the life of a Resident Evil Fan, Final Fantasy Fan, Bioware Fan, and so forth whiny people always complaining game after game but none of them go anywhere. Rather amusing and pathetic

I'm all for them fixing the epilogue plot inconsistencies and having a proper ending to the trilogy with proper closure, whether it be good/bad/bleak/bright explanation or foreshadowing. It just needs to have a proper ending which at the moment it does not have, at least not for a proper 3rd and final game for a trilogy.

However, in the end its a product. BW makes relatively solid and overall entertaining products for me.

I will buy what will personally entertain me, whether it be MP DLC for ME3 or a future title of theirs. I'm even thinking of getting SW:TOR.

^This , no one is going to be forced to buy ending dlc , ME Spinoff/ME4 or any other Bioware game.If the new games aren't worth it buy something else.If it is but you still want to send a message buy used , rent or at a lower price.Boycottings fine but I think for most ME3 was the last game to buy , most now will be looking at other games from other studio's.

You know, the term "movement" is used as a reference for crap. Which is all this "Hold the line" BS really is. Real feces at least has the decency to dry up and stop smelling after a few days.

Nah. If the next Bioware game looks good, I'll buy it. Five minutes of mistakes is nothing considering their track record otherwise.

Dude, these guys are holding the line too? Rad. Can I jump on the catchphrase condrum too? You guys rock out!!! Why start a forum when we can use there's. Oh yeah, were like a civil disobedience movement too!!! We give games to kids, especially the games we hate on on forums because, you know, they need to know why to hate games. Oh, and also, I can't tell the difference between justice and consumer satisfaction. Or civil unrest and consumer advocacy. While I'm at it, lemme tell you what a great writer I am. No, I am not a writer professionally (that would be selling out) but because I am a great writer, I know what constitutes good writing.

Sound familiar?

If they make I don't like I won't buy them, that's not a boycott.

If they do games that I like, I will buy them, that's not caving.

-Well... being a professional writer doesnt per definition make you a good one. Barbera Cartland was very professional. However the litterary standard was by no means "great".

Boycotting their products. Definately, I thought part of "Holding the Line" involved boycotting all Bioware products until a new ending is confirmed.

Myself, regardless of the movement, will not buy anything from EA at all until it is confirmed, and if not, then Activision Ubisoft and Bethseda are all great companies that will take lots of Bioware's fanbase and actually listen to us.
