Hi, i'd played back in the day the ME1 & 2 and they'd liked me alot, overall the ME1... may be the only Bioware games that i'd played on PC, don't remember if they were who did the über pimp Bioshock... and the Outcast, very pimp too; maybe i'd played some other Bioware game back on the Amiga 500 & 1200 times... but don't remember.

I'd bough the BF3 to EA/DICE and can't play more than 15mins before my PC gets a frezee that forces me to do a manual reset, i'd try to get a refund and they'd told me on the store that "if the discs are ok... we don't take the blame for the game to be badly done, we can't refund you the game for that reason, sorry".

That'll be a reason for a boicot IMO... waste 55€ on a game that don't works more than 15mins... and don't get any solution from the game's makers (DICE/EA) that keep ignoring and don't do nothing about the big problem that the Realtek Integrated Chipset users like me are having; for me... a bad ending or a disliking ending is a deception, not a robbery... like sell you something that should work but it doesn't as DICE/EA did to me with the BF3. I want to buy the ME3 on disc when it's price be a bit lower. Let's C ya

I don't want to spend any money untill they fix this mess.
Accoring to the attitude they put those days and their unfinished production, I won't trust them anymore no matter what they do, so disappointing.

Agreed.

Like in a relationship, you can only take so many hits. A relationship that started with Baldurs Gate...I pre-ordered Dragon Age 2 foolishly...but at least they 'fixed' that game with extremely good and varied (outside) DLC. I don't see that happening here. The time where you would go 'please Bioware take my money!' is over.

Bioware should take a good look at Valve and (to lesser extend) Blizzard (before the Activision time) where they would only ship a game when they knew it was good. Valve goes even further with stuff like the Orange Box, which was essentially the dream of every fan.

lol.
Everyone who is not happy with the endings will not buy anything.
That is certain. This boycott was organized by Bioware itself.
You don't need to post something like this since they have to be as blind as my gramma to the situation if they think we are going to buy MP DLC or some Lost missions DLC witht he game like that.

I hope bioware doesn't follow valve. They published a broken game and then refused to give refunds.

edit: correction they didn't publish it they just distributed it.

I can see not buying anymore ME 3 DLC unless they fix the ending, and if your unhappy enough with the ending return your copies of ME 3 getting a full refunds while places are refunding them and wait until they make an announcement on if they are going to fix the ending or not.

I for one loved both mass effect 1 and mass effect 2, so I kind of have to keep mass effect 3 to have the full set. Besides Mass Effect 3 was a good game for the most part there are some minor things I have issue with, other then the ending.

The closest thing that gives me any closer to the ending and could make it even slightly bearable is Shepard's Indoctrination theory like is pointed out in this video www.youtube.com/watch

The only problem I have if this was the case and Shepard is fighting Indoctrination. Then it pretty crappy of BioWare to sell us and incomplete game...  and even crappier if they sell us DLC at a later date to finish the game.

Sword of the Stars 2. The developer admitted to it being broken and valve still refused to give refunds.

Yup. I'm boycotting Bioware from now on. (On the subject of why it's happening here: I would imagine people are doing it on Bioware's own forums to find like-minded people AND make the target of the boycott actually pay attention.)

The sad fact is, Bioware has been slipping for a long time now, but I tried to ignore it and keep my fanboy flame burning. In the end ME3's ending was just the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back (although it was a truly prodigious lump of fecal matter).

I think the reason people are so aggravated by the ending is that it's a lot like a relationship that's gone bad. We used to love Bioware, but with this final betrayal it's turned to hate. I know it's dramatic.. but hey, it's nerd rage!

Funny thing, I felt like posting Irenicus's little monologue on the subject here and had to look it up, I found it in a post about Dragon Age 2 (understandable). Still apropos.

I... I do not remember your love, Bioware. I have tried. I have tried to recreate it, to spark it anew in my memory, but it is gone... a hollow, dead thing. For years, I clung to the memory of it. Then the memory of the memory. And then nothing. I look upon you and feel nothing. I remember nothing but you turning your back on me.

But hey, it's not all doom and gloom. There's been a lot of awesome CRPGs out in the last year or so, and there's promising new projects in the works, like Wasteland 2!

Carry on.

Hmmm..never heard of that game. Maybe it wasn't released over here.
If the developer claims it's totally broken, it's up to them to fix it though. If you don't have the balls to step to a publisher and say 'It won't work, we need more time." you're not a good developer. *cough* Bioware and EA *cough*
Obsidian had similar issues (not completely game breaking though) with Alpha Protocol (excellent game btw), but they got enough time/money from Sega to at least release 1 patch that fixed some stuff and please their customers.

I have to agree with you though, a refund would have been appropriate for a totally broken game. People would have probably bought the game again if it would've been fixed a few months later.

Some of the people whining and crying on this board haven't acted in a mature way so why should they respond to you?

I think you should still buy their next game if you feel interested in it, if not, you obviously shouldn't.

Actively boycotting them doesn't seem very smart to me.

I still believe in the studio, not so much in the way EA seem to be managing it. They actually made some of my favorite games, so I will always have an open mind to what they release. ME3 ending was bad, but ME3 still showed that they are doing something very unique with their games, they certainly have a lot of potential.

Not everyone will boycott Bioware, but more people will be aware of preorders from now on. Oh and press review.

I'm not buying more DLC or games from BioWare.  I'm holding the line.  Nay-sayers and Pro-Enders can laugh all they want.

I did my part for ME3. I played a used copy. It's legal and that's my way to boycotting them (cause... well check my signature!).

Buying a used game is boycotting them, by still playing the game if you like it.

As Chris Priestly said, we're not going to let our forums be used to organize boycotts of our products.

Please feel free to spend your money however you wish (as that's both your right and responsibility as a consumer - support those companies whose decisions you support), but not in this forum, sorry.

Locking.
