Considering all points of view before stating yours is the easiest way to gain respect in an argument.

It is better to be silent and thought a fool then speak and remove all doubt. - Abraham Lincoln

Lying is a vital relationship skill, but know when it's not a good idea.

HAHAHAHAHA so true.

Also, that girls cry when you hit them. (Don't judge me, you don't know the circumstances!)

Never under estimate your ability to change yourself and never over estimate your ability to change others.

If the http://www.amazon.co...d_i=0446526568' class='bbc_url' title='Lien externe' rel='nofollow external'> *ssh*l*s at your place of employment begin to multiply because of couple of them are in positions of hiring authority, it's time to move on because the situation will not resolve itself anytime soon. They tend to clone themselves and will make life hell for anyone with the spine to stand up against them.

^...a couple of them...

Ever since they inserted the pop-up regarding tighter regulation of the discourse on the forums I haven't been able to use the standard form or edit anything on the forums. :-/

Thinking before you act is so very often a bad thing.

So is taking your cellphone into the shower.

Staying awake on borrowed time incurs significant interest.

How much you sleep and how energised you feel seems to be inversely related.

Goat milk does not belong in tea.

Cold nipples are visible nipples.

An alarm clock within reach is no alarm clock.

That probably doesn't have as much to do with gender as you think.

Coming up next I learn the hard way whether spending money you haven't yet earned has negative reprecussions.

- How to live; considering most of my cousins are better educated and are successful like years beyond me ... and I'm too old for this ... *sigh*
Also:
- How to exercise
- How to deal with people and problems
- Don't be optimistic or you'll be stabbed in the back even by small things!
- To live for today is most idiotic way of life specially when you don't know how to live properly. Always reflect upon the past and plan for the future.

more, later.

Being surrounding with people that have the same worldview as you can be really, really boring.

And I like to get bored. I've become tired of all of these daily excitements and drama!

Good. We both learned this the hard way, but we could learn this just by reading some of Aristotle's writings and thinking on it. :?

Don't drink ~14 beer in an hour if your friends aren't strong enough to carry you.

Never believe that a video game can't make you cry.

I've played a few that actually did make me start bawling my eyes out, and my god were they amazing games.

EDIT: In truth, it wasn't that I believed video games couldn't make me cry. It was that I had never encountered one before, until I played the ones that did.

So true.

Energizing drinks are no substitute for a healthy lifestyle. They only add an addiction that takes away energy when you go without.

Don't tell other people juicy secrets friends have told you. That was a really painful one I learned over 20 years ago, and have never betrayed a secret since. And never will, either.

FFXII, MGS3 and MGS4, and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance/Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.

It's been a while since I played the last one, but I think it had that effect on me just as much as its predecessor did.

Well it really depends who you tell. I certainly wouldn't tell anything to a person who just told me something. :)

If you discover a wasp buzzing around your head while driving down the highway at 65 mph, fighting against your destiny won't save you from being stung, but it will land your ass in a ditch and get you a ticket for reckless driving.

Ha.  I learned this one not too long ago, when a friend rather offhandedly admitted that she had blurted out one of my secrets to some random person she knew, in a bizarre attempt to defend me and make a point.

This is one that has happened countless of times:

When something good has happened, something bad is right round the corner.
