The "friendzone" isn't cruel. (Not a big fan of the term, myself.) If you just want to be friends, then that's exactly what you should say. It's not knowing for sure that hurts most in the long run, because if you don't know for sure, then you can hold out a false hope that things will change in the future and your feelings will be reciprocated.swirlwind wrote...
