Bollocks. It's nice that you're pushing the fiction but no one buys it

Really? Cause I've seen death threats, bombing threats, lawsuit threats, wishing people to kill themselves... Blatant violence against people who like the endings. Name calling. Calling everyone trolls or PR. That no one intelligent could possibly like the endings. Need I continue?

At least the ones who like the endings haven't resorted to that.

Like someone said earlier in this thread, if pro-ending people are grenades, then anti-ending people are supernovas.

people that like the ending are people that are swayed by politicans commercials. they just take it at face value.

Can I just make a point about this? What gives people in the louder crowd the right to insult people that don't agree with them? And make claims that they're dumb or being bought out? Why can't these people accept that there are people out there freely have a different opinion than they do, hell its what the Premisis of Freedom of Speech is all about, you may not like what the opposing party says but that doesn't give you the right to slander them and tell them to shut up.

What fayt002 said is obviously an inflamatory and sweeping generalization.

Not many here are going to outright call you dumb for your opinion. Yes, you are entitled to have your opinion and you can state it whenever you wish, but it does not constitute an argument.

Obviously there are people who just make inflamatory remarks, which is wrong, but we all do it sometimes and the best way not to give that behavior incentive is to ignore it. If you want people to respect your views, forget people that say those things and try to explain why you think that the ending was good based on its own merits, without resorting to the same inflamatory tactics or just resting on the argument that it's your opinion.

I am probably not going to change your opinion and you are not going to change mine, so why even enter a discussion that is defined by those terms? It can only have one outcome. Instead, try to argue for what you feel are the objective merits for the endings. Be prepared to debate them, though.

I would say both sides have some really bad ones, I would say the pro ending side is a bit worse but thats just because of what side im on.

The pro-ending side has been unambigiously worse, its not a matter of perspective. From the beginning they have relied on character assasination, and now that they are receiving it in turn they are screaming oppression.

I hope the hypocrisy chokes the sh*t out of them.

What gave your kind the right to insult people that didn't like the endings, which is all you people have been doing since the story broke?

You are getting repaid as you deserve.

Both side has their bad apples. But the ones on the movement side are much, much worse.

I don't think our bad apples are worse. We just have more bad apples... :)

Please, think about what you're saying. Anytime someone says something positive, it's drowned out by hate and negativity. Check out the threads.

Thats because because there are more people who hate the ending on here, not because they are "worse" then the people who like the ending.

Umm I don't condone what people are doing but that bolded part is just wrong, I've seen bad things on both sides so don't try to say your side doesn't so the same things.

When they resort to threats, they become worse.

Nice job at concoting outright fabrications and lies. I wish we had master propagandists like you on this end.

Your side threatened to rape and murder puppies and sodomise a horse. See? I can make stuff up as well.

I have no seen one pro-ending person threaten someone's life, call for people to be fired, or use any sort of violent tactic against anyone. Yes, namecalling has happened. But nothing in comparison to the violence.

I like the endings.
As for your question, I do not explain plot holes. I don't need to.
Yeah, I don't really like what happens to the Normandy, that whole situation doesn't make sense to me.
So I say "Hey, it's a game. I'll just ignore it and pretend to myself that it crashed on Earth. Yeah, that makes sense."
And yeah, there are some minor holes here and there. I'll gladly accept them with some suspension of disbelief.
Others, I fill with some creative imagination.
After all, ME2 was full of lore conflicts too.
I also don't miss the closure. I know well enough about the galaxy to figure out what will happen, I'm actually glad, that it's up to me to do it.
The endings have a concept, they have a message too. I'm very satisfied with that. So the minor things, I'm willing to let slide.
And again, it's a video game. If you can't take a videogame, you're looking forward to a really hard life.

Yet here you are being inflamatory... I'm not excusing that behavior (though I certainly haven't seen any of those things or anywhere close to it).

But what good are you doing for the situation if you goal here is to hang that banner of malcontent over all of us and inflame the situation by giving extreme examples and calling us out?

That wasn't the point in what I was saying. But there's no point in trying to explain it.

And if you haven't done anything mentioned, you have nothing to worry about.

For me it's less of just taking it and more holding writers up to a higher level then they are performing at.
If you spend time building the universe and the rules it works in then you should be able to use the tools you have made to write your ending without breaking the universe.

I'm seeing a startling lack of evidence for these allegations of what this side supposedly did, and a whole lot of libel coming out of you bunch.

hardly to be unexpected. It's what you've been doing from the beginning.

You know, the burden of proof is usually on the one making the accusation. Your disservice is being done to truth and common sense.

I remember quite a few Star Wars fans liked Jar Jar Binks as a character when the Phantom Menace came out, there's no explanation for that either.

Why do people actually like the ending? Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
