Jacob. He had the worst writing in ME2, and while he had potential, he got completely slaughtered in ME3.

Kaidan. He's just so vanilla - he's like the Carth of ME. He never really struck a chord with me. I especially hated him after ME2, where he pretty much dumped me in my time of need, only to act like the relationship was salvageable in ME3.

Ashley. She's pretty interchangeable with Kaidan. She never really piqued my interest in any way.

Diana Allers. Completely forgettable character. I regret letting her occupy Normandy.

Kai Leng. I haven't read any of the Mass Effect books, where he supposedly is a pretty decently constructed character, but he seemed completely off in ME3. Who was he? What was his motivations? Why did he do that? Nothing is answered, and that sort of mystique didn't really work.

The kid - lol
Javik - Voice was so out of place, and he was a jerk.
Diana Allers - Bad voice acting. Bad dialogue. Bad character. Nice butt though.

This, minus Javik. He was awesome.

Also, I love your username.

Least favorite character though? Kai Leng. Worst character ever. Nothing's worse than a plot-armored cyber super-ninja. What am I, watching some low-rent anime? He gets knocked on his ass by Thane. Right then and there he would have been dead because I would have shot him several times. In the face.

Yep, if don't just include non-squad members or other main good guys, Kai Leng is probably also my least favourite character. I think he might be the only character in the ME series I've genuinely hated, and though that was probably the feeling the character was supposed to evoke, it wasn't entirely for the right reasons - he definitely felt like someone who had been cast from a JRPG or Metal Gear Solid, rather than a character who belonged in the ME universe.

My whole list is moderately extensive. What can I say - Bioware makes good characters; even the ones I don't like. In some ways, the ones I dislike are on that list mostly because they do such a good job of making them real; I just happen to find them really unlikable as people.

But... lets see. In no particular order:

Tali, because I just found her kind of bland. Cute (in that little sister kind of way) and occasionally funny. But... eh. I can take her or leave her until ME3. In ME3, I mostly just found myself wanting to shoot her over the whole Quarian/Geth conflict and her reactions to it. I understand supporting your people - but even when they're wrong and you know it? Eh. I was on the fence about the Quarians before. I am now quite certain that they will die in any game I cannot mange to broker peace in, simply because they deserve it.

Jacob, because, well, he's generic in ME2 and pretty much a complete cloaca in ME3.

Ashley, because she's a churchy, xenophobic bigot. AND because of her ME3 redesign. I didn't like her personality in any of the other games, but I respected the heavier armour, lack of make-up, and practical hair. Now... she just makes me think of a stripper in a wig. Every other Alliance person you encounter wears some kind of uniform. She wears an electric blue ****-suit catsuit, even though she's supposed to be all about the Alliance. Thanks, I'll pass.

Liara... was 'meh' for me in ME, then after her complete character reversal in ME2 I just kind of wanted to shoot her in the face and leave her for a Reaper to faceroll on. She's better in ME3 - more like her old self only a little less naive, but she still has moments of incredibly juvenile behavior/mindset that just annoy me. And I jsut got really tired of her being shoved in my face all the time. After ME2, as far as pretty much all of my Sheps go, she's no friend of theirs. Yet the game pretty much forces her into the role of Shepard's BFF, which just bugged me. Still kind of wish I could leave her for a Reaper to faceroll on.

Miranda I'm kind of 'eh' about. There are things I like about her and things I don't. She's such a stuck up, sanctimonious bosh'tet for most of ME2, but I kind of liked the final conversation you could have with her right before the Collector Base, and I thought it was cool that she sides with you about the base. She's also a lot better in ME3; more vulnerable and human. Still kind of eh, though. First impressions, and all.

Han'Gerrel. Pretty much all the admirals. All the Quarians, really, after ME3. If I could let them die without loosing war assets (and let them know why I refuse to save them) I would without a second thought.

The Salarian Dalatrass. Because, I firmly believe her cranium is currently lodged so far up her cloaca that it ought to be coming back out her spine by now, and I have enough brainless hate-mongering morons to deal with with the Quarians.

Kai Leng for being lame. Poor Thane. He got to go out fighting, but I wish it could've been to someone really worthy, not that inept little wanker. He could've been an awesome foil... instead he was just kind of there and mildly annoying. I was pissed when Thane died, and it was still satisfying to kill him. But without that emotional directive I wouldn't have cared about him in the slightest.

There are more. These are just the first few off the top of my head. But I'll call that good for now.

Hmm... I hated Jacob since he "rejected" me in ME2. That he cheats on you in ME3 if you do romance him makes me hate him more!

Diana Allers was just meh. I didn't hate her, but I didn't like interacting with her much either. She was the one squad member I never visited in the room.

I hated Ashley in ME1, but from the vids I watched, she seems to have improved in ME3. I shall try a playthrough where she lives just to see if I still hate her.

You won't like Ashley more than before if you run into the "you-worked-for-Cerberus-lines" in ME3.
That's what I can say as an Ash-fan. Either you like her before ME3 or you won't like her at all. :?

Personally, I was kinda 'meh' about her in ME1, but ME2 made me lose all respect I had for her.

James, not so much a total dislike but the question of why create a new squadmate instead of filling that position with one of old squadmates

Ashley, Miranda, Jacob, and sometimes Kaiden. I think the only human companions I like all the time is Jack, and Vega.

Edi and Allers in ME3. I know I am likely to get flamed for this but I didn't care for either of the Krogans while they were squad members. Wrex grew on me especially in me3 but grunt not so much.

Liara, predictably enough. Although my seething, boiling hatred has simmered while I fawn over Garrus' awesome romance. I feel it slowly returning, though.

Liara: TOO MUCH LIARA in ME3....Mooning around after Shep dogging his every step and in her conversations with Javik her species arrogence shines through, she really needs to get over herself.

Miranda: I'm just glad this ruthless/heartless woman is off the Normandy now.

Jacob: I wasn't a fan of Jacob in ME2, but I didn't particulary dislike him either...come ME3, I just want to ram him down a Reapers throat for all those poor femSheps who romanced him...what a b*stard.

Kaidan: I always liked him, but his ongoing ranting about Shep and Cerberus started to get to me in ME3...I just feel like he doesn't really have Sheps back, my Shep just can't fully trust Kaidan anymore....is such a pity, I had always liked him until this point.

Krogans: Am so glad Krogans are finally off the Normandy....blood thirsty, war mongers, never liked them....I like Eve though.

Allers: Cardboard cut out.

Salarians: Never liked Salarians....too much power and knowledge without the wisdom in utilizing it....But funnily enough, as never a fan of Mordin, it's his death that touched me the deepest and had me feeling the most.

Salarian Dalatrass: She just drips evil....I was a Genophage supporter unitl she opened her mouth, not there's no way in hell will any of my Sheps not cure it

Han Gerral: I liked him in ME2, he seemed quite with it, but ME3 brings out his true colors....what a vile man....in fact all the Quarians have a lot to answer for....Koris the idiot of ME2, becomes the real voice of reason in ME3.

Javik: The Protheans were not a decent species no matter how you look at it....it's a good thing for everyone else that they are gone.

Star Child: Nuff said.

The Star Child for one, also Jacob because beyond his loyalty quest, he is completely uninteresting, and finally Vega, who's just the stereotypical hardened jarhead ("Loco"? seriously?)...it seems like there's a pattern of Bioware making at least one poor male character per game.

PS: I forgot about Diana Allers, too lol....almost.

I almost don't count the Catalyst as a character... but if it is, that one would definitely be high on my list, as well.

Ash/Kaidan
I didn't like them in ME1. Ash was a b****, kaidan was a wimp. neither were interesting.
I HATED them in ME3. whether it's that "your still with cerberus" crap, drinking on duty, or the fact that they are even LESS interesting this time around. I regret not finishing em off at the citadel

That's because Kaidan IS Carth basically. Same voice actor, slightly different backstory...Kaidan is a bit less whiny, though.

Kaiden: Ashley just had more character and personality, so I let him die in all ME1 playthroughs. Wasn't a bad guy, just didn't care.

Han Gerrel: Liked him in ME2 and he seemed the nicest and most level headed. Turns out I was wrong. Actually all the Quarian admirals seemed to change their personality in three, but mostly for the best. If someone told me I would come to respect Adm. Xen in ME3 I would never have believed them.

Salarian Dalatrass: She only had a little screen time, but thats all it takes to show she is the smuggest alpha jerk in the galaxy.

Wreav: But I think we are supposed to hate him.

I don't dislike anyone really, but I fully admit I'm kind of burnt out on Garrus and Tali. After three games with them, I just didn't feel like I gained much from their interaction in the third game, and while I enjoyed them as squadmates the first time around, I find myself wishing that some of the other ME2 squadmates would have joined up as well.

Allers: God, what a waste of space. I got her on the Normandy, got my Assests, then kicked her off. I hope she didn't take away any sort of resources that could have gone to more imprtant things.

Liara: Her annoying, boring voice and the fact shes up in my face every second of ME3.
