Thanks for posting this. That was a pretty cool read, and a nice break from all the negativity around here.
The negativity can be taxing, I agree. But the way I see it, it's better to have all this negativity, because it means the problem isn't going away. People are still mad and voicing their complaints. I would feel more worried if everyone was getting over it and moving on. BioWare would have less incentive to fix this.
But I agree, nice to get something like this.

Bah, Fallout 3. The bug ridden mess still leaves a bad taste.

Of course Mr Meer would be interested if Bioware says, "Let's record more dialogue for more DLC!" Who would turn down the opportunity to make more money?

Wow. Meer posted the most diplomatic, reasonable response I've seen on the matter. Throw in a PR salary and let him broker peace.
Well, he is the voice of the (male) person who united the galaxy.
Though it involved a lot more shooting.

The title seems a little misleading. Who is this Mark Meer person when everyone knows that Commander Shephard is Jennifer Hale?
Jennifer Hale is Commander Shephard.
Mark Meer is Commander Shepard.

...Man do I feel old now - but Myth was great!
Edit: Also lol at his wife being Rana Thanoptis.
...in one of my playthroughs he shot her.

I like him. He has a reasonable, normal person, non-polarised approach to this.
It was refreshing to see someone involved with the game address this issue as a desire for alternative gameplay rather than an affront.

Well he did say that if there is DLC to fix the ending he's 100% on board to voice it. That's a lot more commitment than "I'm listening to your concerns".

"Onboard to voice it" is not, in any way in h*ll, "I think the endings are awful," as people here are assuming.
