Still, I've always wondered what it'd be like to actually be the voice of a big character like commander shepard, Mark Meer has the power to voice his own paragon/renegade ending if he so wished!

'I should go.'"

Seems like faux olive branch to me but time will tell. Obviously they were planning DLC I mean the end of game had a prompt telling you to buy some. If I hear an actual bioware employee start talking about broken steel then we have made some real progress.

I like him. He has a reasonable, normal person, non-polarised approach to this.

Seeing as we all knew Meer would be doing DLC, this doesn't fill me with as much hope as it seems to have done for many of you.

Now what I would be thrilled to hear is one of the squadmate VAs telling us something similar.

It's a bad sign if he actually verified that no dialogue has been completed. If there were, he would be saying "stay tuned" like everyone else.

Good news, and good commentary from Meer. He's not taking any sides and at the same time remaining very positive, open and respectful without trying to deflect anything or make excuses.

And totally doesn't afraid of anything 'n stuff :wizard:

EDIT: Either way, even if they were making ending-altering DLC content, it'd likely be July at the earliest before we saw the actual content available to players I'd guess.

Thank you Mark Meer!

It's nice to here from a fellow gamer! I also didn't mind the ending of Fallout 3, but enjoyed the Broken Steel.

As much as i love to find clues that there will be alternate endings and support TakeMEBack, i do not see any signs of Mr.Meer commenting his opinion on the ending. Only that he is remaining available for future DLC's, which is not at all suprising.

Of course it was very nice of him to atleast comment and mention the controversy and indicate he's also a gamer who appearantly has been pleasantly suprised by the changed ending of Fallout 3: Broken Steel.

Please dont go putting words in Mark's mouth people. He seems like a great guy but drawing conclusions from his comments could cause dissapointment for us and annoyance on his side. If i was a voice actor and said something neutral on twitter and people took it completely out of proportion i would facepalm harder than 20 captain_picard_facepalm.jpg's....

This is what I read - "I want money, if bioware wants to pay me more money then I'd like to reprise my role again" - I don't see any real support here... I mean, what else would he say?

Doesnt this kinda disprove the whole Indoctrination stuff? If the endings we got werent the real endings but fake, wouldn't they record the real "post-Indoctrination" endings at the same time as the "fake" endings?

Just like his VA for Commander Shepard.

Calm and cool about the situation, but he knows what's at stake. I get the feeling he wouldn't mind doing it, from that quote.

I like it.

Why would he mind? He gets money for it after all :D

And take the risk of that "Indoctrination-ending" being leaked just like the original one? We had this ending because the original one was leaked and they had to "re-write" it with a horrible outcome.

No, looks like they leraned the lesson the harsh way. Of course, this also allows neither to confirm nor denny the fact that the indoctrination theory is just that, a theory. If they've got something planned, they might just not starting to make it happen until they've gathered enough feed back.

What "re-write"? The ending in the game is essentially identical to what was leaked. Except the leaked script was even more transparent about everything being real, because it had script notes.
