Angry Joe made a new video that pointed to this...

Some of the stuff I caught, but much of it I didn't. I have to say after watching this their can be no doubt that this was indoctrination and as the old man at the end says "one more story" is to come.

Everyone should see this, it clearly shows over a dozen small giveaways that this was the plan all along.

Damn you Bioware for getting us all upset! :D

Inb4 "You are grasping at straws" "Bioware made a mistake and just screwed up the ending" "I'd rather keep wallowing in misery than consider Bioware to have talented writers who could possibly have something up their sleeves"

Bioware still hasn't commented, I'm bordering on believing it for now... even if it isn't the ending they intended.

Actually here is a link to Joe's new video at the end he shows several tweets from the team. It's pretty apparent something is coming.

The eye's matching the IL, the tree's from your dreams behind you at the end, the 'citadel' using parts of ships you have already been on, list goes on and on... good stuff.

Yup, pretty soon we'll have re-take Omega DLC.

And then we'll all be sorry we doubted Indoctrination Theory.

Didn't BioWare comment and say it is not indoctrination? Or am I imagining things? Not that them saying that disproves it or anything, since they could just be denying it.

Angry Joe also points out, if you listened, that if this is true then we were deliberately misled into buying this game, which lauded 'Finishing the fight' and its ending, when it never had it on the disk and was intended for DLC possibly at a price. If anything if the Indoc theory is true it's -worse- then it simply being a bad ending because we were frankly blatantly misled by Bioware.

So, yeah, smiley faces all around.

So, why would I be interested in replacing the worst possible ending to the game with an ever so slightly less awful ending?

I don't remotely care that the ending is consistant with the ending that I already hate. That just makes me hate it almost as much.

Someone inform him that when the Rachni queen on Noveria was talking about "fear" she wasn't talking about indoctrination - just the fact that Rachni children are frightened when seperated from their parents because they have no on to sing to them.

His video is fraught with similar errors.

At about 4:30 in, the video from the OP's link says Shepard starts to hallucinate images of a boy after encountering the human Reaper, and/or object Rho. Not true, the hallucinations came only after he saw the boy killed by a Reaper.

Indictrination theory is a sound and viable ending option.

But its far from being proven as obviously evident.

Not nessisarily. If you paid attention to the video, it will also explain that no one else ever sees or reacts to the child and when Anderson interupt Shepard's talk with the child, you can hear some sort of angry growl. That growl is much like when Greyson in Mass Effect: Retribution, tried to resist the Reaper indoctrination.

After watching all those videos, I'm beginning to think these people really have a point, and that indoctrination is likely. I guess a part of me still wants to believe they can't have written something that bad.

Seeing the boy killed by a reaper could already be an hallucination.

Even if you believe that, Shepard still didn't have any such hallucinations until after seeing the boy in ME3. And, just to be a stickler about it, most of the images of the boy are Shepard's dreams, not hallucinations.

Seeing how he already told one story with a stupid ending I would be shocked if he didn't keep up the pattern.

The boy is in the opening scene 'controlling' (playing) with the Normandy.

He's also there then not there the first time Shep meets him.

No axe to grind here , just sayin'.

There are Reapers everywhere during the initial scene with the boy. Retribution was a book, so how on earth do any of you know what a Reaper sounds like based on that. Even if you accept all these incredible coincidences, there are still zero hallucinations from Shepard in ME2, no matter when you do Arrival or what happens in the Collector base.

It's a slow process. If it starts in Arrival, it's pretty normal there isn't anything to be seen yet.
