I prefer either the Geth Plasma Shotgun or the Graal Spike Launcher, although the GSL has this issue where there's noticeable travel time for the spike, so it can be tough to hit moving targets.
Best Shotgun?

I prefer The Geth shotty. Using it on my Human Inf and Krogan Soldier. I got the Wraith aswell, but when i tried it, i missed the ability to charge my shotty :/

I just unlocked it for multiplayer, is it any good there?
Yeah it played just like GPS (best shotgun imo) but a few minor differences. I prefer the GPS though cus the plasma balls curve towards the enemy to help with lag/bad aim. Plus the higher clip size is nice on an infiltrator.

Clip size is somewhat of an issue yeah...I'll try it out on your advice though, but save for the GPS

My vote is for the GPS also. Massive damage, manageable weight, tracking projectiles.

I'd say the Graal is the best shotgun if you're using it as a primary weapon and can lead well, Eviscerator is the best secondary shotgun, and the Katana is the best dedicated close range shotgun.
I was thinking the exact opposite : I think the first is a reliable "main" weapon (it's the only weapon on my human vanguard), because of it's ability to cover medium range as well as close.
The Katana, relatively lightweight but limited to QCB, makes for a good weapon on a character that has other options for medium and long range.

Crusader, with a choke mod the accuracy is VERY high and it has pretty good stopping power fire rate and range.

Depends on the difficulty and the intended range you wish to fire.
On bronze the toy guns are better - you don't need that much damage and you don't get anything for oneshotting stuff more. It's a personal preference if you like single shot ones or you are looking for continous dps.
Silver, well, I wouldn't bring those plastic guns into silver. They can't oneshot, and why on earth do you want a shotgun that can't oneshot? That leaves with the more robust ones, graal, gps, claymore. All is fine.
Gold. Claymore as it offers the highest damage - 1600 per pop. Also in gold you really want to use cover and it's pretty hard with guns that you want to charge. Anyway, claymore does so much damage that it's not even funny - you easily outdamage widows on a per shot basis and fire much faster. Every other shotgun is a joke compared to this beast. Reload is not an issue as long as you get used to exploiting los cover.
If you want to play safer a gps is a good alternative, but only because it's homing. I wouldn't call it shotgunning, as you will mostly operate from sniper rifle range. But you trade off lots of damage for that, so it's really a personal preference.

So heres my breakdown because i literally like every gun in tue game
- Disciple: Best lightweight gun in the game
- Claymore: Funnest to use due to the ridiculous power
- Graal: Favorite Longrange shotty (dont have crusader yet)
- GPS: Probably best all around shotgun but a bit to boring imo
- Katana: Best early level shotgun to try to level
- Evicerator(cant spell): Good well rounded shotgun
- Talon: Funny to use but kinda useless

I acknowledge that the GPS and Graal are pretty damn good, but the Eviscerator has nice power for its weight and lovable accuracy at range. Used it to great effect on many classes. If I'm ever lucky enough to get the Wraith to a comparable level (Evis X, Wraith I at the moment), I'd love to use it instead.

Crusader or Graal had down. Gps just seems to idk lack luster it just doesn't cut.
I didn't find the graal all that good, to be honest. I prefer a visual representation of where my shot is going.
I don't know, I find a flock of spikes flying through the air to be a pretty solid representation of where my shot is going.
If you're complaining because it has travel time, I can see that. Doesn't bother me personally, I play alot of FPS games. Awareness of this fact cancels out any negatives, and you're left with a gun that does massive damage at ridiculous ranges. Barring the fact the graal is a monster, it's the coolest idea for a shotgun. You shoot spikes.
