Even though I've been using the Print Screen button (the default) I still can't take screenshots of my own. Even after the patch, this hasn't been fixed, and now there's just a lag in the game *eyeroll*. Help, anyone?

Ok, I REALLY hate to bump posts, but the screenshot thing is starting to tick me off. Help? Anyone? Please?

Try Alt-Tabbing out and then going back into the game. That fixes it for me. I would not be able to take screenshots without doing so.

I just mapped the screenshot command to another key (9 on the numpad) and it worked fine after that. Not sure why print screen did not work.

I'll have to try remapping it. And KXVD, what do you mean by Alt-Tabbing out?

If you have a keyboard with F-lock, try toggling it on or off.

If you're trying to print+screen and then copy/paste somewhere, it doesn't work. Go into Documents>Bioware>Dragon Age>Screenshots>User and they should be there! I hope that helps.

What do you mean F-Lock? like numlock? I remapped it to B AND made Backspace a backup key, and neither of them work. I'd use the numpad, but I have a laptop, and thus no numpad to use.

I have the same problems remapped the keys and also changed some stuff in the .ini file but still no good. Even alt-tabbing out of game does not fix it for me.

it's probably because u have the wrong aspect ratio in the config.

F-lock is similar to that. Some keyboards have it so that toggling it will switch the F1-F12 (and sometimes other keys depending on the keyboard) from regular F functions to other commands like Open, Close, Save, etc. You might not have one.

Since reassigning your screen capture button to another button doesn't work, I doubt that your problem is with F-lock.

Wow, another one of these threads..I am nice and will solve your issue yet again. Please learn to use the search function, as it does work...

Go into your dragonage.ini settings

C:\\\\Users\\\\*******\\\\Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings

Find this line DisableAspectRatioCorrection=0 and change the 0 to a 1. So...

DisableAspectRatioCorrection=1

Save and you can hit print screen and locate your sceenshots here...

C:\\\\Users\\\\*******\\\\Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Screenshots\\\\User

instead of disabling the aspect ratio correction, I would rather recommend you go into the dragon age settings (Dragon Age\\\\bin_ship\\\\DAOriginsConfig) and change your aspect ratio to either 16:9 or 4:3, depending on your monitor. Don't forget to change the resolution too.

right - I had this problem, how I fixed it was by using the second box to remap the screenshot key to shift + tab, it is well worth noting that whatever change you make is one behind until you restart the game.

PrincessRiku nailed it. The screenshots are save to:

My Documents>Bioware>Dragon Age>Screenshots>User

This post nailed it for me btw. Just realized I couldn't take screenshots ever since I changed my resolution to 1200 x 900 or wahtever. Just reset it to the highest resolution and it works again using 16:10 aspect.

So this is still an issue in Patch 1.02

I just started having this issue after I downloaded the 1.02 patch. I've tried all of the suggestions in this thread with no results.

I have a Logitech G15 keyboard and had this issue also. I just remapped the print screen to a different key and it fixed the problem. I don't know why my PrintScreen button doesn't work in DA:O.

Is there a way to manually configure the path you want these to be saved to?
