I'm having the same problem. I hit "Print Screen" for the screenshot I want, but so far only one of them has actually shown up on my Users folder in the Bioware folder of the Screenshots. Strange. :(

Thanks to Locane256, I used this program rather easy to use :) ok I rather not have to use a program but there was no way in furry hell I was messing with my *.ini file more than I have to!

If you have a keyboard with F-lock, try toggling it on or off.

^ This totally fixed it for me; thanks! (I have Windows 7 too, btw)

Hey, resurrecting this thing because nothing I try works. I'm playing on a laptop that runs Windows 7, using Steam. I remapped my screenshot key to "9", disabled aspect ratio correction, my resolution was already 16:9, and I installed the latest patch. I checked the folder the screenshots should be going to, and it's empty. I can't tell if the screenshots are actually being taken and then sent to the wrong folder, or if it's never even taking them in the first place. Is there some kind of animation or sound or alert to let you know that it worked at all? Also, if it is getting sent to the wrong place, what file name should I be looking for?

I stopped being able to take screenshots someone very kindly pointed me in the direction of Fraps, you run it while you play and take screenies by pressing F10, it puts the pictures on a file in the C drive and then you can convert them via other programmes to JPEG and then put them in an album...

Thanks, Maria. I'll look into that. I'm also getting frustrated because the automatic screenshots the game is taking won't upload now, either.

I spent a lot of time getting these mods to work and I want to show off my warden, dammit.

Of course you do. I was getting annoyed for the same reason, Fraps works quite well and I am a bit of a dunce for these things.

It's going to take a while because I have to screw around in photoshop and whatnot, and I'm going to have company all weekend. But I'm hoping I'll have something to show for myself come next Wednesday!

Steam Version
Dragon Age Ultimate Edition

press "v" than press the "print screen" button. I got some screenshots under my user screen shots in the documents folder but if you don't press "v" to get rid of the gui it won't take a screenshot. its a pain if you want screenshots during conversations and even pausing the game to get one doesn't work, at least for me.

Edit: alt+tab fixed my problem

I tried all of that, I don't even know what the problem is. Fraps works, so I'm just going to do that.

Now, of course, my automatic screen shots won't upload when I try to do it. Blerg.

Luteo-alba's post did it for me. I also went into the configure menu under online and checked the take story and achievment screenshots. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for this thread! I was having the same problem and it was the first hit for it on Google; I utilized modifying the options to have a 16:9 ratio, disabled aspect ratio correction, and installed MWSnaps. Other than the game not always wanting to come back up properly after taking a screenshot, it's working pretty well--and it's also taking screenshots with Prnt Scrn now as well. Woo!

Another +1 for changing the aspect ratio to 16:9 and disabling aspect ratio correction. Now my keyboard shortcut places the screenshots directly in the Users folder. Had to kill that pesky arch demon again, but I finally got my screen shot of the killing blow! Now I'll have to play through again just to get shots of all those special moments when it previously refused to work ;)

If you're trying to print+screen and then copy/paste somewhere, it doesn't work. Go into Documents>Bioware>Dragon Age>Screenshots>User and they should be there! I hope that helps.

I had wondered if it was something like this. Thanks! :D
