This problem is still very much an issue for many people, any luck?

you know i have the same problem, but mine is kind of a loop.. says preparing, downloading, pauses and then says there are no current tasks at this time. and does the damn thing all over again.. and like other people on here. i have allowed my antivirus to access origin and what not.. and disabled the windows firewall... and yet to no avail! The technical support isn't even technical. they are telling me to download the latest versions for my graphics card which has nothing to do with my downloading.. so you can imagine my frustration.
