So when you lose your last team member in a battle (including the PC), I'd like to see the bad guys continue their AI on other friendlies or dealing with lingering AOEs and DOTs on them behind the menu to reload. In certain epic situations, maybe there could be a brief cut scene of how bad we %&$#*@ the pooch and the immediate effect it has (like being ripped in half or being picked up so the big, naked tentacle dwarf can get ready to chow down or being cocooned by the spider queen with three other twitching little cocoons already hanging in the background).
I, also, have never seen a bullet-time finishing move performed on my last standing character (usually Dog). That would be a good poke-in-the-eye for messing up.
Currently, it's just a bland reload or give up menu after the last character falls over.
Of course, I can't say if any of this is possible with the current engine, so I'm putting this out there for the next gen.
Anything anyone wants to change/add? Feel free to toss in any insane ideas, too. As the real researchers say: "Don't filter your data before you analyze it even if you don't think you'll like the results." (Real writers also say that you go for bulk in the first draft of a document, essentially spewing ideas. So spew away.)
