Mass Effect 3 on 360 essentially uses just the microphone array of the Kinect, rather its gesture tracking. Which is completely fine, the way one interacts with the menu wheel and the environmental is pretty intuitive after a little while. Taking away that pause of the moment, where you change weapons, biotics etc to be instantanous. But you can use the the pad or voice simultaneously, not just one or the other.

I own the games on both 360 and PC. (Brought 360 ME1/2 back in the day, brought a PC and then PC versions of ME1/2 back in January - so have characters on both platforms).

Seeing as Microsoft released the SDK for Kinect and now officially have Kinect for Windows as opposed to driven by the open source community,

Bioware clearly are familiar with Kinect and its functionality - as they intergrated into 360 ME3.

So here lies the questions -

Will Bioware enable the PC version to those who have Kinect?

If Bioware doesn't, can the community?

The voice acknowledgement software is part of the Speech components SDK,
In theory having the Kinect for Windows software installed and working your PC, the PC then has all the requirements tor the functionality to enable PC ME3 for Kinect like the 360 counterpart. All the tools and software are in place.

Just the software instructions need to be added to ME3 files to utilize them.

Thoughts?
