I'm having huge sound issues when trying to output DD or DTS through optical output on my PS3. HDMI works fine (but not supported on my amp). There are also other issues with the PS3 version. Framrate is horrible and graphic on some of the textures are substandard. Don't get me wrong, I think the game is great but we need a patch to adress these issues asap. ETA anyone?

For output using optical, make sure that you have not got both DD and DTS Ticked in your PS3 Audio Output settings. If you have both selected you will not get any sound. This occurs in some other games too. (I normally end up turning off DTS and then it works)

I have the sound issue too -- using optical cable.

If you have a receiver that can decode both DTS and DD, then you should have those boxes "checked" in your PS3 preferences. The bug is with Dragon Age, not the hardware.

(and ya, that framerate...)

Any word on a patch?

Having same issue here using optical out on ps3 to Yamaha receiver. THe receiver is decoding it in DTS. Im going to try to uncheck DD option in PS3 menu...I'll try to find other possible solutions as well
