I'm happy to hear that they are going to address it. That's a victory right there. The "war" may not be over, but I'm happy they at least said something "straight".

For some reason, I'm no longer very optimistic. I'd describe my reaction to this "wait for April' directive as 'cautious'. 'Wary', even.

OK, this was acceptable. Saying they'll have something for us in April gives us something solid to latch onto, instead of some abstract time in the future.

I like how he basically confirmed more Mass Effect games.

heh best work created, even leaving out the endings it was a really really linear game, they reused the multiplayer maps abit to much for their sidequests, etc.

more than 75 critics giving it a perfect review score and a review
average in the mid-90s.

Because you paid them and/or they didn't actually finish the game!1!1:P

He's trying to defend the "artistic integrity" of the ending.

Unacceptable.

"Building on their research, Exec Producer Casey Hudson and the team are hard at work on a number of game content initiatives that will help answer the questions, providing more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey. You’ll hear more on this in April. We’re working hard to maintain the right balance between the artistic integrity of the original story while addressing the fan feedback we’ve received. This is in addition to our existing plan to continue providing new Mass Effect content and new full games, so rest assured that your journey in the Mass Effect universe can, and will, continue."

This is the paragraph I am most interested in. Whatever we're doing guys, keep doing it. It seems to be working. Remain respectful of the work that was given to us, but continue giving constructive criticism. We could win this yet

To that end, since the game launched, the team has been poring over
everything they can find about reactions to the game – industry press,
forums, Facebook, and Twitter, just to name a few.

I would not give too much weight to that first group. If a guy is trying to get in bed with a girl, and she lets out the nastiest far of all time, he would not call her out on it.

Calling it a "victory" makes it seem like we're against bioware. I suppose so does the phrase "hold the line" to a certain degree.

Anyway, i think it's important for bioware to understand that its BECAUSE we love ME3 so much that we are so opinionated about the ending. If the rest of ME3 was mediocre, a lot more people would just accept it and move on.

nice response from the Doc, and is probably about as much as THEY are sure about at this time. And that's all we can ask for.

Dont get me wrong I love the team and all the work that has been put into the game, infact I loved ME3 all the way through till well.. the end. I just want some closure to the friends and characters ive spent so much time with these past 5 years, and our outcries and concern are just the product of that. Take light in the fact that you made something people are so passionate and care about.

Feel good about this. We've made an impact, and we know that Bioware is taking this seriously.

That said, continue to keep the pressure on.

Give them positive, constructive feedback. Because this matters, and WE matter.

QUICK!! LETS FIND SOMETHING TO BE ANGRY ABOUT THIS STATEMENT

I love how this is "victory" to many of you, the evil nasty empire of Bioware finaly crumbled to your demands. Victory!!!!

At least its even more obvious now that the indoc theory is not real...

He's kinda downplaying the fan reaction...I mean "some of our most loyal fans"? More like the majority of your loyal fans.

Also, he's hiding behind the "artistic integrity" angle again.

Am I the only one that thinks Ray's response is kind of the thing I wanted? Says they are working on bringing more closure. That they realize they kind of missed the mark in some aspects.

Don't know if I could have asked for a better response as we wait for what comes next.
