Errr... what?
This sentence would be flagged for "weasel words" if typed into wikipedia. It simultaneously states a fact and then tries to minimize the provider of the fact.

The endings are wrong. Just admit it. Still I guess it's something.

Feel good about this. We've made an impact, and we know that Bioware is taking this seriously.
That said, continue to keep the pressure on.
Give them positive, constructive feedback. Because this matters, and WE matter.

He's trying to defend the "artistic integrity" of the ending.
Unacceptable.
Another thing I noticed. There's nothing artistic about it, it's just badly written. The end.

Pretty much yeah. Although as expected, the message does not confirm, nor deny anything. It seems to be another reaction to the fans to keep sending feedback, but to wait patiently. Indicating, at least to me, that they had (and still have) something planned but need more time to finish it, and do not want to give away any details.

That's what I feared. They're gonna 'explain' why Joker was fleeing in the middle of the battle and why Ventkid's nonsense make sense. But they won't change or add a thing.

What? ...Our first instinct is to defend our work and point to the high ratings offered by critics – but out of respect to our fans, we need to accept the criticism and feedback with humility.
If I get my work criticized, my first instinct is to see where could I have failed. If the critic is valid, I have no other than accept it and concede. If not, I would defend it.
There is no way they can just accept the endings as positive and well put out. If they found it somewhat good? That's cool with me. But they have to be very shortsighted to not see the problems WE see in them.
And hell, since when the opinion of a couple of critics, who you probably paid anyways, is better than that of a WHOLE fanbase? I personally would prefer the former, since it's a way varied number of individuals that are actual FANS of my work and aren't just doing their job but actually giving their hearts and brains to give me feedback.
Harbinger finish please:
THIS HURTS ME.

Am I the only one that reads that and thinks he's largely dismissive of everyone against the ending? He spends more time dancing around the issue and refuses to acknowledge any type of mistake on Bioware's part.
No youre not, the rest of the Hold the Line movement is acting just as stupid as you are

I mean, I can almost see how if they were pushed for time they MIGHT end up with endings that they hadn't really thought through, but to think that people would be satisfied with them they'd have to be fairly oblivious.

Actually youre right, their plan right from the begining was to make you angry, they made what they did with the intent to get you angry, bomb metacritic, sell back their games and cause all this drama. Delusional

And generally if we come to the same conclusions, its usually correct.
I still fail to understand why it took so long to say even something as solid as "We are looking into it" though.
