If you are a Mass Effect fan and have input for the team – we respect
your opinion and want to hear it. We’re committed to address your
constructive feedback as best we can. In return, I’d ask that you help
us do that by supporting what I truly believe is the best game BioWare
has yet crafted. I urge you to do your own research: play the game,
finish it and tell us what you think. Tell your friends if you feel it’s
a good game as a whole. Trust that we are doing our damndest,
as always, to address your feedback.  As artists, we care about our fans
deeply and we appreciate your support.

Thank you for your feedback – we are listening.

I think this is another - really important statement

I found that to be a full and reasoned response,by an executive with the right amount of pro-game spin and the right amount of backlash acknowledgement. More then anything that kind of response had to be made. It does imply that they dont expect the furor to blow over, and the plan is not to simply "wait it out"

Theres nothing anyone can do now but wait, and I guess continue to vent on the forums. Oh and not buy DLC, the fact that this up roar effected the companies bottom line is the reason for this response.

There had to be some kind of original plan to develop DLC that altered the ending if too many fans ended up dissatisfied. It's not unprecedented (Fallout 3), and too much money and future profit rests on fans being satisfied with the final game, including the ending (read: not only DLC but a future Mass Effect MMO). The fact that the development team is *already* working on DLC to clarify the ending for those who "need further closure" shows that this was somewhat planned from the beginning. I'm sure there are several other possibilities being discussed to alter the ending besides Indoctrination Theory, as well.

Revolting arrogance on Muzyka's side.

Basically they're gonna explain endings to us idiots, to give us a closure.

I can't see how this is a reiteration of anything since this is the first time it's actually said that the team is working on addressing the endings fiasco. I like the ending, but for what it's worth, I think the majority of the fanbase deserves better closure...

Actually, the blog is promising. But I'm still suspicious.

out of the few million people who bought the game and didn't complain, I would say those people who complained are a minority.

Lets be fair here also, the game has only been out a couple of weeks. A lot of people still haven't even gotten it yet let alone finished it.

Well they said their working on DLC and hopefully bringing more closure to those with questions. It's not concrete, but it's the most feedback we've gotten thus far. Thank you for the statement Bioware, much appreciated. Let's keep it civil : )

was not a fan of " This is in addition to our existing plan to continue providing new Mass Effect content and new full games, so rest assured that your journey in the Mass Effect universe can, and will, continue. "

This reeks of please buy our new ME games when they come out....i know im nitpicking but its kinda nice to be marginalized and compared to a bunch of butt-kiss reviews from people who most popular used like is "i haven't played and/or finished the game yet but....."

It starts off great, like he is talking to everyone from the bottom of his heart. Then it goes into these critic reviews, and it sort of negate what he just said earlier.

I dont know what to think anymore, but atleast we got a date - april (PAX). Befor we hear anything else. =/

Interesting, the most interesting blurb for me is:

"Casey Hudson and the team are hard at work on a number of game content initiatives that will help answer the questions, providing more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey."

That does not sound like an "alternate ending" xpac, or a new ending. Sounds like they're going to try and stick with the galactic dark age as the results of all your actions.

How do others read it? Go read the whole thing at the link.

Yup, sounds like it, looks like they gonna sit down and create some animated short or comics or press release, explaining what we, dumb fans minority, didn't get about this super awesome transcendent ending!

Hmm. Hope its not:

It's progress. But at this point I would honestly rather hear them say they were rushed than say they honestly thought that the endings, and the total linear gameplay of the last mission in general, made perfect sense.

hmm, at least he acknowledges our grievances as valid. While I do understand that he cant actually say anything drastic its at least good that he gave us a timeline (April).
I think PAX would be their stage to say what they are preparing

Not really, they are the ones who buy CE, pre-order and really anything related to the product.

Can't wait to hear their explanations for teleporting squad mates, logical holes a 5-year-old can spot in the Catalyst speech and green space magic.
