Then my history is warped. I'll take my lashes.
You wouldn't want that. You really wouldn't want that.
I like that guy.

Dr. Ray i appreciate you taking the time to address the matter. As someone who loved bioware's work i would like to say if you guys can give as some closure to the story. i don't know how you guys can ever explain the many potholes in the story. once again i will like to thank you for posting an informative answer to what you guys are doing about it.

Indoctrination makes sense logically, that is a big issue I have is that there is no logical basis for starchild to just appear and force the generally very headstrong shepard to meekly go kill herself,.
Which is part of why it's silly.
Indoctrinated? Shepard?
Runs absolutely counter to everything we've seen and learned about Shepard up until this point.
Shep doesn't listen to Reapers, he gives them the finger and kills them.
So by your own words why does Sheppard at the end even give thought to the other two options and not just chose destroy every time? Like you said Shep "Gives them the finger and kills them," Why now does he even listen to some child that basically means nothing to him and is trying to tell him the Reapers are the good guys all along even though they are mass murdering innocent people who have no outright control of creating Synthetics to destroy them?
You basically helped the indoc theory.

Constructive criticism you say? Ok here is mine.
#1) Your game, you say, is the best work you have done yet. I disagree. Your game is filled to the brim with bugs, glitches, graphics and sound errors. And that's just in the SP. Let's not get into MP just yet. Ok... now let's get into MP. MP has more bugs than an ant farm. That's the nicest way possible to say that. And now 2 months after release and there isn't a basic patch for even the most basic problems.
#2) The Ending is really, really bad. Please for the love of everything video games have done for us.... just use the Indoctrination Theory. Continue from there, that is the best middle ground between "artistic integrity" and "fan acceptability" for the ending.
#3) I agree that the game overall is great. 95% of it. I just can't help but think those "perfect scores" were paid for because this game is far from perfect. Those perfect scores are undeserved. And while you may be proud of them, and the game, you can't just accept those at face value. You said in your blog you are always trying to do better and do "right by the fans" so then do so. Do better, listen to fan feedback, and don't apologize for the ending. Build upon the ending.
Not everyone wants a "happy" ending. We just don't want that discombobulated mess travesty of an ending to actually be anything but an indoctrination dream, where Shepard gets up from the rubble to go and actually kick ass and DESTROY the Reapers. So let's get to my last point....
#4 Where do you go from there (the endings)? You HAVE to make a single canon ending where all the choices come to one final conclusion. Shepard MUST destroy the Reapers. And here is why.
If you hope to continue the Mass Effect universe after these events in future Mass Effect games, you must have a single, clear, canon outcome. The Reapers must be destroyed.
