Contact EA customer support, if it is a fault in the files you downloaded they will be the only ones that can help you, Not to mention, if it is a fault on their end this will be an issue for possibly everyone else who downloaded the game from EA.

Is there a technical support forum? I'd try my luck there.

It's another 11 hours until D2D unlocks, another 13 until Steam does. I imagine the EA download is still locked too.
Of course, I could be entirely wrong.

First steps:
1) turn off any anti-virus you have (AVG, etc)
2) turn off drive virtualisation software (Daemon Tools, etc)
3) disable Nero services (search for 'disable NMIndexingService' on your favourite search provider)
Beyond that, more troubleshooting required.

sounds like the download is corrupted, you'll probably need to delete it and download again.

Doesn't EA download manager have an option to repair your downloaded game?

sounds like a corrupted file to me.
I suppose you could try a few times more.. or re-download the whole thing again.

JAq77 and Ranestari. To bypass it, you could try and do the following.
Create a folder on your Desktop.
Go to Computer > right click your drive, and select browse.
Copy the files from the cd to the folder.
Remove the cd from the drive, navigate to the folder
double click the setup file.
or
Get a tool, that can make an image from the cd, then use a vritual drive program, to install using the cd image.

Is it unlock time yet? I know that they hold important files to prevent consumer from playing it early.

aside from redownloading and reinstalling, you are gonna have to let EA know. If it has a problem extracting a file after download it is likely the file wasn't correctly downloaded (with huge downloads that can happen, one file may have been corrupted). Re-downloading is a pain but that may be your only self-help option. either way contact EA ASAP in case you will end up awaiting a response. Also, if you are redownloading it, don't erase your current downloaded version, rename it first in case they tell you how to fix it.

Weird, I thought I replied to this thread. Anyway, they hold off the important files of the game so consumer wouldn't be able to play the game early before the release date/time.
