 It appears the ending was it he intended one as much as it was an ending. 

I for one see no reason to buy and additional DLC, since it will not make a difference anyway? What would you get, a codex entry in the journal and War Asset Points? It is not like it would make a difference anyway.

This just has to be the poorest ending ever, the entire series is 95% and in the last 1% of the game, the ending just ruins it.
