BioWare has made a small concession and Retake should RESPECT that.

In short, BW have stated they are going to add some content to the ending. What exactly that conent will entail is unknown to me at this time. However, I firmly believe this is NOT something that should be met with hostility, as some Retakers appear to have done.

My interpretation of "constructive criticism" is I think somewhat different from the author of the linked article. I see it to mean "criticism that is not insulting and can be used constructively." I think the fact that BW's public statements have changed over time and moved towards the idea of revising the ending is proof that BioWare is listening and responding to what they hear from many fans.

Is it everything I personally had hoped for? No. But it is something. For me, that means it is not time to sit back and relax but also that it is not time to greet a concession with negativity. Speculation, sure. But not outright negativity. They have reached a hand out, and I'd prefer not to bit it, personally. That will get us nowhere fast.

Totally agree with you. I got up this morning and read the statement, was really excited and happy and then I started reading our response and my reaction changed to 'what the hell?". Have some of us become so jaded and cynical we can't even recognize when something good happens. This was a win and I can find no way not to view it as such. Was it everything we wanted? no, but we don't all want exactly the same things. This is great news, I am optimistic and hopeful and feel far better about the situation than I have since I finished the game.

You're right, OP. The statement this morning is a good thing and a step in the right direction.

I'd really love to go back to being an EA fanboy, so here's to hoping they release a good Epilogue DLC and/or ending. :)

If the DLC redeems the story and grants me some answers/closure, I will learn to trust Bioware once more. But if they pull this kinda thing again... no quantity of DLC will stop me from quitting their games.

Sorry, but i'm one hell of a cynic. But I am happy that they listen to their fans. And I respect the concession they have made.

I'm happy they're gonna do something about it. I'm hoping they use the indoc theory as constructive critisism becouse that theory fills the plot holes the best in my opinion.

I agree. It was a really good step. It is the first step. they admit that there is a problem and they are willing to do something about it.

While we still need to hold the line. We still need to be respectful to bioware. This to me is good news today.

but we still must hold the line.

Well if they don't add the indoctrination theory or allow us to tell "BS!" to the catalyst, i will just wash my hands of BW, definitly. I trusted BW after DA2, i will not trutst them anymore after ME3

Actually, yes, they should respect.
It was way below construcitve critcism now, it was... ah, even I felt ashamed for the ME3 players.
And yet BioWare responded.
But I guess, if it will remain the same, only the few polite and reasonable members of that movement will actually respect that they got at least some answer.

Hell yea. Defiantly a push in the right direction. I got no problem becoming a raving Bioware fanboy if they give us the endings. No need to change them if people like em, just throw in a few that satisfy us.

I personally felt better after reading the thoughts from Muzyka. It sounded like a step in the right direction as far as I could tell.

We just need to keep at it so that it doesn't get played down now that we've started to make some progress with Bioware. I don't want to call it a 'victory' or anything, because I don't feel like we're fighting Bioware in that sense.

I have little respect for more PR talk. Admittedly, it's about all we can expect at this point, but it's no reason to respect them. Especially with how much he dismisses us.

Hold the line.

I completely agree with OP. The fact they would consider changing anything is a sign that they appreciate our passion for their games. I for one am blown away that it has gotten this far. I'm still holding the line though. Still holding out hope for an ending worthy of this magnificent series.

It's something, and it's definitely appreciated, but, and I don't mean to sound hostile here, it's still defensive/deflective and it feels like there's an element of "how could you not like it...all the big name sites gave it amazing reviews!" in there, unspoken.

It also feels like they still aren't getting what people are taking issue with. This is the *wrong* ending for the game, it doesn't fit, it feels like it's written by a totally different group for a totally different game and I can't see how "clarifications" are going to help that.

I hope the interaction continues. It's a good start.

Anything is better than nothing.

Really want that 4th option though.

I love the fact that they finally responded and they have confirmed that SOMETHING is in the works. No notes as to what but at least we know something will happen. Hopefully it's a rewrite or a dlc that adds potential new endings (Orange and white maybe?). Wish he'd have said more but I appreciate that he said anything at least.

We got a little bit. We need to keep pushing. But we have to do it the right way.
