Okay, I get it. Bioware gets it. Most of you were disatisfied with the ending. A lot of people went to great lengths to "hold the line", demanding a new ending. Voicing your opinion. Raising money (I still have my thoughts about that, but that's a different issue), complaining to the FTC, even making unnecessary threats and comments to the Bioware staff. Even through all of the constructive and destructive criticism (props to all who kept it classy at least), Bioware never turned their backs to their fans. They never shut them down. They never pulled a Gordan Ramsey and said screw off for the lack of a better word. They listened, they updated, and they made sure that we all knew that through the midst of everything, our opinion still mattered.

But even after today, the biggest update as far as what Bioware plans to do for the future of ME3, people still make their doubts known, saying "this DLC is probably gonna suck" or "they still won't give us closure", even though Bioware has said numerous times that they want players to have their closure. There are still people who won't even take the time to give Bioware a chance. For one, the game's only been out for two weeks. It takes a LOT longer than two weeks to make any extra content, especially when it comes to voice acting, visuals, level design, and integrating it with the many different possible variables taken from each of the different games. Like it or not, Mass Effect is a complex game, and as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day.

For those that are upset at the ending but have waited patiently for Bioware to come up with a solution, continue supporting them, because everything they do is for the best interest of us.

For those who continue to think that Bioware isn't listening, who think Bioware's customer service is the worst ever, who think that Bioware doesn't love its fans, and who have downright cut ties with Bioware (well, if you're reading this and have said you're done with Bioware, you're obviously still on the forums, right?), what makes you think you deserve any of this? A lot of you sound like whiny little children, one of those Sweet 16 girls that aren't satisfied that their red Escalade isn't blue or that their elephant isn't a unicorn. Do you deserve ANYTHING that you're given with the way you act, and if you believe your words and actions are justified, explain why!

A lot of people are now complaining about the fact that it will most likely cost money. They demand a better ending and Bioware gives in. Then they aren't happy with that and demand it be free.
I myself want a better ending and I am more than willing to pay for it, whatever the price may be.

I personally think that they always intended to do the Indoctrination Theory but they seriously messed up the delivery/pointers to do so, and they probably didn't plan on having to work on it this early to ease the rage.

No one should be ashamed of themselves for Holding the Line, Not Holding the Line or Indoctrinating the Line.. they all are good things, that show passion for something, an emotion sorely lacking in this day and age in Western society.

Viva la Conclusion!! :)

Sorry, Bioware screwed up. They should be ashamed. Not the fans who gave them money in good faith and got screwed over.

You must be thinking of EA as a whole.

Fully agree, as long as there's a decent amount of content if they decide to do a new ending. Broken Steel wasn't free either.

I'm an attorney, and I was most disappointed with people going to the FTC or threatening class-action lawsuits. This really is NOT the answer.

If you love BioWare games, and you have to care on some level if you have stooped to the level of making such threats, the real answer is a constructive dialogue. Not senseless litigation (like the world doesn't have enough of this already).

Defending even frivolous litigation can be expensive. Outside counsel doesn't come cheap, even to get a lawsuit thrown out. Even if you are awarded attorneys fees, these are not always paid.

I'd much rather BioWare spend that money on develping more content for us to enjoy.

I too believe in the indoctrination theory. Even if Bioware didn't plan it, they'd be foolish to not use it as a basis for the ending they're working on. I personally thinks it's awesome and enjoyed the ending with the indoctrination theory applied.

I like your first three paragraphs. But you should change the last one before the thread will get locked...( and yes I am well aware of the irony ;-) )

Unfortunately, new content sometimes costs money. If they charge for it, so be it. But as of now, there's no price or no promises as to what the DLC will be. They should just...wait. Again, Rome wasn't built in a day.

They're still PR'ing, but I love the company. I never said anything negative about them, just that I don't feel satisfied.

As long as a better ending is made for this game I will be happy and would not mind paying for it, if I must, because as of now the ending has destroyed the whole franchise for me. And anything that can just fix this abomination of an ending will make this game my favorite Sci Fi game ever made.

Edit:
The thing is I just don't understand is how Bioware made such an ending, when they are so amazingly talented and has made some of the best games ever. The quality of this ending just does not fit in with their track record.

Everything about ME3 is fenomenal, from the characters, the art direction, the action, the stories being told and lets not forget the breathtaking music... But it is completly desimated by the ending, if you can even call it that.

Some of the response has been unnecessary, but the OP misses the part where Bioware haven't actually done anything to ease the issues that fans have with the game (Apart from the patronising "Don't worry! We are listening to you with our earmuffs on!"). The customer is always right, even if they are whiny scum.

I love how people miss the implications of telling EA that they can make us pay for better endings when the packaged ending has been fluffed this badly.

If the ending is fixed, I hope this doesn't become a norm. Complain and make huge groups where you demand things.

So they say they want players to have closure, so we will have closure? I find your blind faith disturbing.

As long as it remains classy, I agree. But that's not the case for many people.

to me it sounds more like just word play, we dont know what they will do only thing i know for sure is that that want more feadback. the reason i still have my doubts is mainly because i truely feel like my trust for bioware as a whole has been mostly lost, thats how much i have been in love with mass effect. it feels as if every thing i didn the past 2 games really means nothing at the end of 3:/

now i truely hope they will give use somthing that will make most of the fans that are upset atm happy. cant make every one happy but they can at least try to you know. forgive any typos havent sleept yet lol

Import bug.

Shame on Bioware for releasing the game, so if people want to get pissed about the ending, well let them go off. Can't defend people's behavior, but can't defend Bioware releasing a game with that issue.

I think as far as the ending goes, they will either put it in with a dlc pack that they already planned on launching. Or they will extend the ending to give it a couple more hours of gameplay. You can't really charge $7 or $10 for a few minutes of cutscenes, they'll have to put some meat in it.
