Yet some are still are angry and making comments like "Bioware is not the same anymore" or "Bioware are way to money hungry." PLEASE STOP THIS. Bioware does care about what we think or what we have to say. It is ONLY because of players constructive critism that Bioware now have plans to create future ending DLC. They plan to address people's concerns and bring closure to the story like many of us are requesting.

So here's what I don't appriciate from people, direct attacks on Bioware, EA, or the players who infact liked the endings. That needs to stop. If this game and it's players and also Bioware bring out such anger from within you, then why are you still here? While I did not like the ending myself, I never once threw a tantrum and insulted the community.

On a different note, I do not believe for one second though that the DLC will be free. I would GLADLY pay for it. Not because I'm some blind fan boy who throw's money at anything called "Mass Effect," but simply because making DLC requires time and money. So hey, oh well I didn't like the ending, Bioware is trying to extend it for us, so here's another 10 bucks. I really don't care about it. I just want more Mass Effect content to play. Thanks for reading.

For those who are thinking I am making stuff up....

"Building on their research, Exec Producer Casey Hudson and the team are hard at work on a number of game content initiatives that will help answer the questions, providing more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey. You’ll hear more on this in April. We’re working hard to maintain the right balance between the artistic integrity of the original story while addressing the fan feedback we’ve received. This is in addition to our existing plan to continue providing new Mass Effect content and new full games, so rest assured that your journey in the Mass Effect universe can, and will, continue. "

While this does not specifically say "WE ARE CHANGING THE ENDING," it does however say that they are working on content to provide more clarity and further closure for those who seek more. Please have a little faith.

Second Edit : The title, I did not mean for it for to be deceptive and I'm sorry I you feel it is. I will not change the topic title though because it is true. Refer to my previous quote, Bioware is working on SOME TYPE of ending DLC. Nobody knows what the content will include but there will atleast be something. Again I nor Ray, or Casey say anothing about changing, only extending, clarifying, and answer questions.

In any case thank you all so much for replying to my thread and giving your input. Sincerly, The Kail.

I agree. If they're going to do the new ending DLC I will continue to support Bioware like this never happened. The fact they took us into serious consideration and are doing something about it (If this is to be believed) means everything to me as a consumer. I now know if there is an overwhelming flaw to a game I bought from them there is hope for a fix.

Hold The Line until we see this DLC.

I am not interested in an ending DLC. The ending has already been made and that't it. I loved the ME2 DLC's, the extra squadmates and their loyalty missions, Overlord, LOTSB and Arrival. But they weren't re-telling the main plot line, and why should they, I've already bought the game, I'm not going to pay to play for an altered main storyline, and to be honest I don't think I'd even get it if it was free.

So I guess the real question is, how many people will pay for the DLC? (even the ones who say they wouldn't but still do lol)

Considering that Ray's statement suggest they will just try to cover up all the plotholes without really changing anything I think not many. I know I'm not alone when I say that I won't buy it until I am certain it's what our feedback makes clear we want.

if this is true and bioware is finally giving us what we wanted then i am finally happy. it is because we held the line that this was done. ofcourse we must continue to hold the line until release to ensure they do not stray from the path. if we get a ending worthy of mass effect then all will be forgiven and i will continue to support bioware.

There should be no reason why they don't charge for an ending DLC package. There are people who liked their endings, and they should not be forced into accepting a separate ending package that they never wanted. Let this be a choice for those who want it. BioWare, if publishing an ending DLC, should charge since they are creating something new...that actually costs money to produce. They are producing it to meet the demand by the consumer for it. I will buy the ending DLC if it is published because I want it.

Let's not forget that a lot of this debate was centered around the idea of player choice. It is nonsensical to eliminate someone's choice if they don't want to be forced to accept a new ending.

I think it's amazing that BioWare is assumingly addressing the concerns of the community. I think it's great business practice, but we have to understand how businesses work. There is a completely functional ending in the game (it's the player's opinion on whether they approve of it or not). So if the player wants a new ending, pay for it, be happy that the issue was addressed, and move forward. If BioWare produces a new ending DLC, they have done their part in trying to satisfy the problems of some of their community (I only say some because it is not ALL). We need to do our part to meet in the middle. We got what we wanted in a new ending, BioWare listened, but the compromising part is that we have to pay for it.

Yeah, lets throw money out of the window... I REALLY do not understand, why people pay for DLCs. We need full games, not partial ones, come on.

I don't give a **** what you do with your money, but because of you, smartasses, the game industry will continue to use this method. In a year or two, we'll be buying missions and a boss fight, all separated.

This just makes me sick.

Would rather pay for a substantial revision of the end with new voice acting and cinematics than get something crappy for free. Do it right. Charge if you have to.

They haven't made ANY real promises besides the fact that they're aware that we exist and have grievances. We'll let up when they promise to rectify them.
