I Just don't get it, in so many ways the ending was the easiest thing to write. If you wanted to go down a similar route why not:

1 - Not enough war assets, not enough alliances. Everyone dies in one final stand on earth. Shepard dies after defeating the illusive man unable to open the Citadel. Watch all squad memebers make final stand on earth and in space and show the utter defeat of allied forces. Ends with the Normandy burning in space.

2 - Shepard wins but sacrifices himself in the process of saving Anderson/other squad member whilst opening the Citadel. Complete ending is the council erecting a statue of Shepard on the citadel after the war and helping to rebuild. your love interest looks on in proud grief.

3 - Anderson/other squad memeber dies but in doing so gives enough time for Shepard to win/open Citadel. Illusive man dead and vicotry for all. Reapers gone, last note is Shepard addressing all on the Citadel, "new age, not just for mankind but for all species." Finishes with a hug and a kiss with your love interest (maybe a blue baby running around if you romanced Liara or building that house for Tali on Rannoch - whatever you decided).

You can even incorporate the blue child. If Paragon, and reunited the Geth and Quarians:
"We envisaged synthetic life eradicating all organics. The Geth are now indivduals through Reaper modofication. Yet...they help you. They have enbraced organics. This event was...unforseen. You have proven that my solution (The Reapers) may no longer be relevant..." etc etc etc.

Now Im no writer but its not that difficult? Please give us the perfect endings we want...not just a different coloured beam.

Yeah. I'm not paying for a DLC that clarifies something. I'll just read the wikia for that. And thus, if that's all it does, I'm not paying for any other DLC.

Charging people for it will be the end of Bioware,  people are already mad,  telling them "$10 to see the ending you should've had in your game" is going to drive off alot of people.  The Day 1 DLC drew an enourmous amount of fire,  doing this would be tantamount to studio-suicide.

Considering you have no games registered with the account, I'm not sure they'll need a brush the clean up all the tears they shed. :)

Bioware's board software is bugridden.  Because I changed email addresses since I initially created my account,  it's completely impossible for me to register any games,  even though my Bioware account and my 360 account use the same email addy.

No surprise that this problem exists though,  even the board software is problematic at best.

Because a lot of people more so desire to play that sort of thing than those who do not as far as gamers in general. Majority vs minority something that gets thrown around a lot when suits the needs of those who want something and in this case recently about the endings how it is a majority that apparently want such fixed in some way. So like said in past, if you want your cake such as listening to the majorities then you have the consequence of them doing just that. The majority who they want to become future customers included in the debate, outcome and design decisions.

Actually,  people playing multiplayer are the minority in most releases,  as has long been acknowledged by many devs,  sites,  and publications.  It's only a small handfull of MP-centric titles that have sold very well.

This is largely because MP in any game is like throwing yourself into an unsupervised junior high school lockeroom.  Few people have any desire to deal with the ultra-childish behavior that characterizes the MP component of any game.

The reason MP is in this game has nothing to do with any kind of "Popularity",  the reason it is in the game is the very same reason why the poster on page 5 brought it up.

Than it wouldn't make any sense. Lore plays an important part in the Mass Effect series, and I'm pretty certain that if the ending makes sense to you, the lore will be honored.

Here's an idea: what if they don't, but the ending still makes sense?

THEPOPE1001 - what you do in your spare time is your business, friend (and there are several options in ME3 which would work well for you). I would like to, however, return to topic.

People were pretty outraged over the current endings, and now imagine the **** storm when we find out the proper ending will have to be purchased....

Bioware created the endings based on the writers. You really think they are going to redo the end of the game with the dev team putting in tons of hours and not charge the fans that "want additional content". You guys are funny.....

They finally admitted that they are gonna rehash the endings, what more do you want? Ill pay 5-10 to get the ending i want. 10 dollars is nothing compared to 120 hours i put into the character.

Yeah, lets throw money out of the window... I REALLY do not understand, why people pay for DLCs. We need full games, not partial ones, come on.

I don't give a **** what you do with your money, but because of you, smartasses, the game industry will continue to use this method. In a year or two, we'll be buying missions and a boss fight, all separated.

This just makes me sick.

Second Edit : The title, I did not mean for it for to be deceptive and I'm sorry I you feel it is. I will not change the topic title though because it is true. Refer to my previous quote, Bioware is working on SOME TYPE of ending DLC. Nobody knows what the content will include but there will atleast be something. Again I nor Ray, or Casey say anothing about changing, only extending, clarifying, and answer questions.

Thank you for mentioning it in your first post. The reason I mention it is because it could give false hope to people that expect a new ending where their decisions matter when in fact BioWare only plans to describe the colors and god-child in more detail.

I base my information off Ray's statement in the sticky at the top of this forum and this tweet:

"Both Casey and Ray's statements say we will release additional content to address questions, not necessarily alter anything."

I hope BioWare clarifies their plans so there are no surprises in April.

I wonder if BioWare will make the DLC free or not. If it will be paid-DLC I will still buy it, but free DLC regarding this outcry would do much good in terms of reinforcing brand-loyalty.

I'll beleive they are working on an ending dlc when they actually say it.

I didn't read "doctor" whatever post because I just assumed he dances around the issues like the good politicians these people are.

When Mr. Priestly makes a thread for it, then I will believe it.

If the dlc is just going to explain and provide closure for the fans ..... someone suggested a comic book..... hmmm I thought people were also asking for a different ending ....anyway I don't really mind the game was amazing. All the hundreds of decisions all just came back to red, green and blue Haha lol :-p which color did you guys pick?

Like i said in a another thread:

The thing that gets worried is that they will only add some epilouge text or something like that and that they keep the original ending. That is something i don´t want to see or hear about.

Hey guys, one thing I want to stress is to not make any assumptions until we are able to give you more information. Right now, anything about free vs paid is speculation only. I think most of you get that, but just want to stress it.

Considering the amount of lies that were spoonfed to us I think it should be free. As an apology.
