Totally agree, with all of the above. I was thrilled to be able to finally romance my LI in 3, but it left me wanting more. It felt ... sparse. A few flirtings, a date, and then a good-bye. If this is the end to Shep, then let's do it right.
BTW, I wish it wasn't the end to Shep, but that's for another thread.

I want more Jack. Devs already used resources to change her appearance so they should do something about her. That how they treated ME2 LIs is just one big disappointment.

I feel obligated to say the ME2 romances just because how they got treated in ME3. They're not my favorite romances but i expected way more for them than what they got.
Otherwise adding something to the already existing romances won't be bad but i would prefer if the ME2 ones got something first

I would like to see some DLC that makes the ME2 characters more involved in ME3. I basically used Garrus, Liara, Tali, and Ashley for everything in my first ME3 experience. I am on my second Shepard now and I have to say none of the new ME3 characters interest me at all. I was very excited about the Prothean until I actually got him. Then disappointment set in. It would have been nice to have Miranda, Grunt, Thane, Mordin, or Jack actually join your squad. Even expand further into Kasumi or Samara. The new characters for ME3 were just disappointing.

I don't see that they could do that though - Liara, Kaidan, and Ashley are all romances that can span all three games. The only way you get the very complex dialogues for them is if you did their respective romance arcs through the series. I did one playthrough with Liara exclusive, and one where I romanced Liara only in 3, and her dialogue isn't as complex as a new romance. It's closer to what it was for LI in ME2.
So I disagree that everything should be brought up to that level, because not everyone spent the amount of years with Shepard that those three had the potential to.
Still, we have ourselves to blame for this, really. We all complained so loud about ME2 and Liara that they might have overdosed us on her a little in this game to make up for it. Other romances suffered as a result - so be careful what you wish for.

Anyways, QFT, I like all the ideas you threw out there. Make it happen, Bioware! This could be one of the few redeeming things they could do for us.

Before adding any new ones they could fix the ones they have broken or just "forgot" about. Fixing Thane's would be great. My Shep doesn't want a new LI, she just wants to tell the one she had that she loved him, he mattered, he wasn't a booty call, etc.

hey you guys thanks for posting on my topic i really enjoy reading what everyone thinks, its freakin awesome. On the point of Liara having better more in depth screen time, I believe the developers did this because Liara is the only reason Shepard is still alive, if you guys don't remember or have not read Mass Effect Redemption if Liara had not given Shepard's body to Cerberus he would either still be dead or in the hands of the Collectors or Reapers so I can understand why Liara has the best moments with Shepard it makes sense. Liara has done more for Shepard than any love interest in the entire trilogy, don't get me wrong i love all the love interest we have been given even the ones that i thought we should have been given like Kasumi, Shiala, Gianna, Aria, etc. but out of all of them Liara is a much stronger candidate for having the most intimate scenes with Shep. because she basically saved his life.
Naturally the connection between them would be alot stronger than anyone else. Personally i felt like i was betraying Liara when i romanced other people like Tali or Ashley because i always thought about Liara and what she did for Shepard in the comic. Liara risks her life to save you and even takes a chance by giving your body to Cerberus with hopes that they would bring you back then you go off and romance Ashley after she basically flicks you off on Horizon?, it just feels weird and wrong. Ashley did not go on a mission to find and resurrect Shepard, neither did Tali or Garrus they just went about their business but Liara...........Liara never gave up on our Sheps. she saved him/her and perhaps the galaxy in doing so. Guess I said it: romance DLC should raise ANY romance on Liara!level.
Which basically means, content for any given romance except Liara. Her romance is perfectly done - no need to mess it up. Okay, except "invite Liara to cabin @ will" and "permanently move in" - like for the rest of the romances.
