No victory here.

Just vague, non-committal, PR speak.

Only slightly better than: "We are listening."

Bioware, I'm listening too, but I still haven't heard anything.

Thank you glad someone else is holding.

Look people I think we have been given the key to victory.  If they release DLC that just extends the old depressing endings and we don't buy it that will prove to them once and for all that the only way to get us back is to make new endings.  So please if they do what they are talking about continue your boycott until we get new endings that do the series justice.  We just have to stick together and we will get endings that are good but we can't fall for any PR tricks including just releasing extended versions of something we didn't like.  We need to send a clear message that it's new endings we want not longer versions of the old ones.  We do that and we win.

Hold the line for new endings as long as it takes.

Sorry; to me, that statement just another cog of the PR machine doing its work. It's good to hear from him, to be sure, and it does provide a glimmer of hope and maybe a shard of optimism in an otherwise dismal atmosphere that's been created on BSN since the game came out, but nothing's been won...not a thing.

Sorry but this totally made me think of this

www.youtube.com/watch

but seriously we have made our point and we do not no longer need to bombard EA/bioware on this about the ending rather give constructive criticism on how to improve the ending realistically.

But the movement will need to remain just to remind people and keep a certain level of pressure up (but not at the point that bioware want to throw in the towel)

I hope bioware learn from drastic mistake of judgement and hope this does not happen again (I thought DA2 ending was bad but at least that made sense)

No, we DIDN'T win, unless you count getting half a cherry on top of a stinking turd (with backhanded "compliments" thrown in") a victory. There's no alternate ending or different ending mentioned, he just says they'll "clarify" the current endings and provide "closure".

Basicly "no we aren't going to fix the plot holes and be happy we wiped out asses witht he scrit there at the end."

Gah if anything them saying they are going to clarify the ending has mad this somehow worse.

We held nothing. Why?

Bioware continiues business as usual. The line "Shepard is now a legend, expand his tale with upcoming dlc" just means "We will release further pre-ending dlc so you can buy it, so we get money". Ok so far, however, after they now know what the people complain about, they will use thast to sell her dlc. What does that mean?
I'm guessing they will releasing dlc who fills pre-end plotholes like "What did your do team to get on the normandy?" or "What did Aria do as the CItadel got invaded?". Now, they know what we want, now they can squeeze the money out of us.

I will  not pay for content who fills plotholes because it belongs to the original game. I have returned my copy of me3 and got a full refound (Thanks EA, didnt expect that). I will buy the game again, if bioware really does free dlc that at last covers some of the plot holes and show that they put theyr heart in it.
Sadly, i don't think that they will replace Space God. Just Pre-Ending DLC.

I fear this is like when the Turians gave Garrus a task group - just a ploy to shut us up.

It's definitely a step in the right direction, but this isn't even close to being over. Keep holding the line until a satisfactory ending DLC is actually released.

Until we get a concrete commitment to a course of action, we have not won, and we cannot abandon the line.

Do not attempt to sabotage the line. We see through your pathetic attempts to undermine moral.

It's good to have a blog post and acknowledgement, but that is at best just saying they know. Which means basically nothing.

Nothing is won until we've experienced a satisfactory end to the best Sci-Fi RPG trilogy in gaming.

(Yes I do love ME :P)

Keep holding. Until we see a definitive announcement HERE or on the Mass Effect 3 HP, we cannot say we have won anything at all.

Is OP indoctrinated? They just said "wait for the DLC", just like in the text message we got after the *sigh* "ending". Keep it up everyone. Let's save their franchise for them, for us, and for art in general.

PS : Why are so many people acting like we're being super mean and aggressive to Bioware? When I read the topics I find a level of politeness unprecedented on the internet, it's like a gentlemen's disagreement. I think we're awesome.

Hold the line yes, but don't say its nothing. If you actually read it they say they are working on content that gives us more closure and explains things better. In addition to already planned DLC.

Seeing is believing, but it is definitly a step in the right direction. No need for anger here.

Just hold to line, keep being civil. There is time enough to get angry and not buy the DLC if they mess it up.

I will be satisfied with nothing less than an ending that diverges greatly depending on our choices throughout the series, as promised.

Quite honestly, we haven't won anything yet. That blog post was the quite the epic PR double-speak bit. Were there some good things in there? To a degree, but we weren't promised or assured of anything. What they said could range from a simple epilogue, a Q&A session, or some well-made DLC. We'll have no way of knowing. The only thing they've said for certain is that we'll learn more in April, that's all.

As for people claiming that BioWARE should leave the endings alone, because giving way to considerable and understandable upset means that they'll be "dumbing down" the game's end? Are you serious? You cannot be serious. This smacks of someone who feels the most dire need to accept a cryptic, unintelligible ending for the sake of feeling superior, or worse, to somehow think that this makes you 'smarter'. Without jumping on this level of baffling stupidity, I will instead move on to this....

Holding the line is extremely important, and we can't stop. This sort of placating PR is unacceptable, and things are slowly going our way. We need to keep up pressure, but I cannot stress enough how this pressure needs to be patient, resilient, and above all, respectful. And there is a distinct difference between respect and groveling. It means keeping the lines of communication open and being civil without giving any ground. We need to keep this in mind.

We held the line and it's finally paying off!

Please guys, let's give Bioware the benefit of the doubt and keep it civil.

Time to replay ME3, methinks... maybe the new content will be ready by the time I get there...

After this and DA2 i'm not gonna give BW the benefit of the doubt!!

So far I'm satisfied with the response, we'll see in April, until then, there's a line to hold.

Holding the line until BioWare officially announces closure, post-game DLC, specifically.

incorrect, alls they did was acknowledge us that's it but they also painted us in a bad light as well. to be honest its just another PR statement imo.

ah yes "fans" with opinions. we have dismissed that claim.

We need to keep the pressure on BioWare. The more pressure we keep on them, the more they are going to deliver in the end. If we stop now, they'll give us something, but probably not nearly enough.

This announcement is much close to losing than winning.

No-one was asking for a clarification of the horrible ending. We were asking for a whole new, much better and more consistant ending.

Clarifying the existing crap is tantamount to declaring that it's staying and that nothing will change that.

still holding strong i will let the offensive when i see it on xbox live marketplace. and while a bunch of ending pictures telling me what happened would be better (fallout 3, new vegas, and dragon age origins) i still dont know if thats what i want
