The explanation in the article made complete sense and is logical. Bioware has not offered any explanation as to why the endings are such a disaster. So what are we expected to believe? Corporate Bioware or someone who is trying to give us an explanation?
Until Bioware gives us the "official" story, it's hard to NOT believe what was written.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. I hope he doesn't lose his job if it turns out to be legit coz he's a fantastic writer. I was really upset about the endings but if that's what really went on? At least now I understand wtf happened and I finally have a reason for why it doesn't match up to the caliber of storytelling this series is known for.

Very good points. Especially the part of someone hacking his account only to describe a very good explanation as to what happened. I hate to say conspiracy, but this really looks like a Bioware cover-up.

I think it is now safe to say trust levels (on both sides) are running very very low.

Agreed.

In any case, it would be a sad day for gaming to see a talented writer being fired for being honest, while at the same time another writer is being backed up, accoladed even, for outright lying to the customers and disregarding the opinions of his peers, greatly damaging the company in the process.

A sad day indeed

Could be real. I'm not one for conspiracies, but Weekes would never admit to writing that when asked by a Bioware employee.

From what i understand, it was a private conversation he was having with friends. It could be real.

Or it could be the indoc theorists rubbing off on me. Who knows.

The problem I have with that alleged post is that it certainly feels legitimate and really explains a lot.

And honestly, had the ending played out like it did in that post (seeing all your fleets helping you through London, seeing the consequences of your score in the actual ending, etc.), it would've completely softened the blow of the StarChild bull****.
