I don't expect it to be free(the people who make it should be paid for their work)but I will not stop holding the line until we get endings that reflect our choices. Extending the endings we have shouldn't fix this for any one. The out come will still be the same so the series will still be pointless. We need endings that give us new outcomes. This whole thing today as just been more of the same PR spin.

Please check out this group and join in.

why oh why would anyone willingly pay for something they were promised and then robbed of? would you do the same for a book, or a movie? "you've already paid full price for the advertised full movie. but wait, there's no ending. yeah, you have to pay EXTRA for that".

by saying you'll pay you are encouraging people to stick it to you. i don't see how this is good.

Exactly. Glad to see some people seeing things my way.

For free simply will not work. I would rather (gladly) pay for a full sized add-on like the FAllout 3 add ons or even DA:A. Include a LI - quest/ content and I will wait as long as you want and pay as much as you want.

The plain, simple truth is that developing content for a AAA video game is expensive as hell. If you want something that's not a slapped-together cop out, you're going to have to pay for it. I'm just glad they are willing to address the issues, whatever the end result is. Most developers would have just ignored it.

Yeah, they dont need for it to be free., because some people are happy with the ending. (not me) If you are not happy with the ending, trade in the game, and if you do not trust Bioware, then do not buy future products.
All I know is Bioware is a company, and putting out a free DLC will cost money. I do not want someone getting laid off or fired, because Bioware had to eat the costs. I think that is a bit extreme.

If BioWare is going to patch the ending, there is no way I am going to pay for it. It should be offered for free as a gesture of goodwill to all of us who have bought the game.

Plus, if BioWare hadn't rushed the game, then this "better ending" would have been included with the game from the getgo. Which is why we should continue to hold the line until it is announced that everyone gets this modified ending FOR FREE.

Until then, please keep holding the line. We can do this. Today's announcement was a step in the right direction. But charging people $15 for a modified ending that SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE is something most of us should not stand for!

And the ending DLC better be substantial, to make up for the mistake. And developed for free.

HOLD THE LINE!

No. I will do both, hold the line AND pay for DLC that fixes the ending.

This.

What's it gonna cost you? Five or ten bucks out of pocket? That's what? Maybe one Ciggerette less a day for two days? Seriously, this is less then a tenth of a tank of gas. And as far as entertainment values it is worth more bang for buck then a movie and a night on the town.

It's one thing to demand better quality from Bioware.

It's another thing to become a cheapass skinflint who won't fork over a Burger's worth of money when someone does what you ask.

I "Hold the line.' like anyone else who's played ME3 to the end. But have some class! I'm not a rich guy, I barely have enough money most of the time and even I don't find DLC that horrible to buy.

10 bucks every once in a blue moon to make a game better vs the 15 a month average on MMOs for often months without update or expanded content?

10 bucks a every once in a blue moon compared to the cost of your average week of entertainment over a product you waited years for?

If Bioware asks for a little cash so you can get your proverbial hash. Don't be an ass and pass. Take your DLC with TLC! Be happy that now your end isn't crappy!

I honestly wouldn't mind paying 10 dollars for the real ending.

I just want the ending to be fixed, so I can never give them my money again, and go on with my life.

Given that it's new content, not something they planned from the beginning, I'll gladly pay for it.

It's your opinion that it should of been in the game in the first place and some will agree.

But the fact is they are not going to fix it or add to it for free. They'll just cut their losses. So the only way we get anything is by paying for it.

It should be free but.....If Bioware takes this time and decides to add 5 hours of game play ...
Ex. If they use the indocination theory and build 5 hours of content to embrace thus theory then... I would pay but they should keep it at most 5 dollars.

I'll continue to hold the line, that's 100%, but if they do manage to roll out a DLC that properly fixes the ending(s), purges the vast plotholes from existence, gives us more options (including a more or less happy end one), etc. (unlikely), I'm going to buy it.

do you think getting all the voice actors back is going to be cheap? I will gladly pay for a proper ending that is "voiced" not just shepard.

Cheers, and stay civil.

I've stated all along I think this is an honest mistake by Bioware and I'll pay them for their time, since I've already invested a LOT into this trilogy.

@OP, I would like to respectfully ask that you, uh, remove the ALL CAPS from the thread title, it's a bit off-putting.

Well, no.

Retake Mass Effect Member has filed a FTC Complaint: http://www.pcmag.com...,2401775,00.asp

Retake Mass Effect Creates Spook Conspiracies Only to further the fringe's Rage: http://social.biowar...5/index/9727423

The Retake Movement Claims They are "Entitled" to a New Ending: http://social.biowar...-9909123-1.html

The Retake Movement continues to repeatedly harass game Devs of ME3 over twitter, Facebook, and other social media.

The Retake movement has created a fake PR campaign thread to boost propaganda.
More updates soon.

Again, it's a lot easier to bark when you haven't nothing interesting to say. You praise themes that recur in ME saga as we all do, the rest is pretty much all the same i've already seen on this board...
Again, your opinion is yours and yours only. Want to create a movement about it? Fine. Come here and shout Checkmate? Hell no.

5/10, put some real effort next time.
