Egads.  Look, I felt like I'd been punched in the face and immediately went on Google to find out how I'd screwed up the ending so badly - so please bear that in mind when I say: step back from the computer.  Go outside for a while.  Turn capslock off, and maybe consider if being more inflammatory in the face of the communication we've been ASKING for is really the way to go here.

Please?

THE FORUM MEMBER IN FRONT HOLDS THE RIFLE.

THE FORUM MEMBER FOLLOWING WILL CARRY THE AMMUNITION.

WHEN THE FORUM MEMBER IN FRONT DIES, THE FORUM MEMBER BEHIND WILL PICK UP THE RIFLE.

Seriously though, everyone calm down.

I'll be more then happy to pay. As for your OP its completely uncalled for. If you really don't like bioware that much anymore just leave. Quit hurting retake.

Yeah, making threads like this sure is going to give Bioware the courage to add anything to the ending.

Im taking this one step further:

I WANT BIOWARE TO MAKE ALL GAMES FOR FREE FROM NOW ON!     THE DEVELOPERS CAN LIVE OF MY GOODWILL! HOLD THE F****** LINE!!

...you people make me sad to be a part of this.

No. Broken Steel wasn't free. If we get similar quality and content, this shouldn't be either. The caps locks really aren't doing much good either--I'd suggest toning it down a bit.

I'll pay for it. That way they can do something really substantial rather than whipping out the minimum necessary to satisfy. Without profit for BW, we are guaranteed a minimum. I'd like more than that.

This. I'd be rather willing to dish out 15 more euros if I get a rather substantial, high-quality DLC that fixes what's wrong with the current ones.

Justifying, I would rather pay for a well-made and thought out ending DLC than a free, rushed one that will just push us back to square one: asking for a better ending.

Clarification, I felt that out of the $60 I paid for, I got $58 of my money's worth. if they are going to extend the play time by another 4-5 hours because of the ending DLC, I have no problems paying another $10-$15 for the opportunity.

I think this falls outside of realism. We will have to pay. It's still a company out to make money.

What will keep them from pulling the same stunt and sucker punching you again? "Oh, here's the game... but we will offer a proper ending for $15!"

Sorry, but have to disagree. As much as I support the idea that it should be for free since we already paid for the ending, we are not entirely entitled to get it for free. Bioware obviously did not plan on a change of the ending in the first place so technically we have the ending we paid for. It's just not the one we asked for.

We're all grown-up people. Imposing consensus here won't help anything. If this is to go anywhere, we need to cooperate, not oppose. Compromise, not all-out war. Everything else is just childish and simply not how the world works.

They're a company selling a product. You buy it or don't buy it, and if you're dissatisfied, you don't buy the next one. I liked 97% of the game, didn't like the last 3%... ah well.

Sure, I would prefer they own the "mistake" and make any story fix free, but it's an artistic difference of opinion, not a bug in the code. Even if they charge for it, I'm still invested enough in the series to buy it. And push comes to shove, I guess I'd rather they do it "right". About all the "outrage" I've got is that I'll exercise a lot more caution buying Bioware product from now on.

Well, and I've temporarily cancelled my Old Republic account until I see how they choose to handle this. If I've got to pay for an ending, I guess that's my SW:tOR money for a month or two.

I have seen a trend now that Bioware is sticking their toe in the proverbial water of giving the fans the DLC to deliver the ending. They haven't promised anything, but they haven't said no either. Things are still going between them.

Many people want QUALITY DLC, they want it NOW and they want it FREE!

Bioware in my eyes views answering our demands much like leaping into a lake of water. A nice swim could be just what is needed. However they need to learn about the water, what they could gain from the swim.

However when the fans beckoning them to come into the water turn into a Rabid Crocodile the moment Bioware tests the water demanding the entire world and not wanting to pay for it proverbially trying to bite the foot off of the developer it detracts them.

If you're gonna be a Crocodile then why is ANYONE gonna wanna swim with you, you'll take em for a death roll.

Besides, think about the cost of a DLC to make, the voice acting, the script writing, the Cenematics (Especially for an ending.) The time and emotions invested. Bioware's already depressed by the rain over their current ending, do you HONESTLY think they're gonna wanna dive with predators?

Bioware needs time, Bioware needs to be happy and to be rewarded for coming into the water that is their fanbase. They need to be welcome as our old friends who made all the greats that came before.

And seriously, about the cost.

What's it gonna cost you? Five or ten bucks out of pocket? That's what?
Maybe one Ciggerette less a day for two days? Seriously, this is less
then a tenth of a tank of gas. And as far as entertainment values it is
worth more bang for buck then a movie and a night on the town.

It's one thing to demand better quality from Bioware.

It's another thing to become a cheapass skinflint who won't fork over a Burger's worth of money when someone does what you ask.

I "Hold the line.' like anyone else who's played ME3 to the end. But have
some class! I'm not a rich guy, I barely have enough money most of the
time and even I don't find DLC that horrible to buy.

10 bucks every once in a blue moon to make a game better vs the 15 a month
average on MMOs for often months without update or expanded content?

10 bucks a every once in a blue moon compared to the cost of your average
week of entertainment over a product you waited years for?

If Bioware asks for a little cash so you can get your proverbial hash.
Don't be an ass and pass. Take your DLC with TLC! Be happy that now your end isn't crappy!

Honestly, the DLC Day One thing didn't bother me, companies have been pulling Collector's Edition bonuses the whole time.

If Bioware needs a small chunk of cash for the finished product, you'd be a hole on Uranus not to give it to them. REMEMBER in the notes the devs said THEY were satisfied with the product. They've already finished as planned and their planned budget is spent.

THEY HAVE however planned to make DLC. They've planned Cast Time, Budgeted future costs, etc for making DLCs counting on a payoff. Meaning it will be a solid LOSS for them NOT to be payed. Meaning even if the fans are angry they won't change it because they don't want to lose their shirt to an angry mob that wouldn't be made happy either way.

You people need to be POLITE, you need to be ENCOURAGING.

You need to be welcoming to Bioware, you need them to be open to the idea and you need to make them want to dive into the water. You need to be there as an ally and a Vigilant Friend. They may be owned by EA now, but they are still people and people working deserve to be payed.

As long as BioWare put effort into the DLC, I would definitely pay for it.
Frankly, 60 dollar is too cheaper for a perfect game with a good ending.

Im sorry, as much as i disliked the endings, i respectfully disagree.

A clarification and plot hole filler will work just fine. Completely redoing or adding completely new endings was always infeasible. Bioware clearly are trying to take the franchise in a certain direction.

Besides a complete change alienates people who like the ending as is.

I personally am content knowing that i'll finally have that resolution and closure. I can't ask for more than that.

Would like a DLC ending to be free, but I'm willing to pay for it as long as it's a realistic end. Doesn't even need to be some over the top happy ending just something more believable then "star child".

@Vromrig, your posts were the most entertaining and logical thing i read on a message board in some time.

I have to both agree and disagree with you here. At the end of the day, if Bioware intended the ending in the game to be the finite ending, that is just the fact of the matter. Good or bad (bad in my opinion) the ending would still be the ending. To demand that they put in the man hours to create the DLC and then refuse to pay them anything makes us out as the entitled whiners many people are calling us.

If, on the other hand, this was not the ending they intended but they intend to have the "real," ending via DLC, then yes it should be free. If they intended for the real ending to be released via DLC, and try to charge for it, I sure as heck won't be buying it.

I'm only interested in seeing this fixed. If Bioware fixes it at a reasonable cost, then I'll consider a purchase. If there is no cost, then Bioware earns "loyalty points" from me.

Either way, I won't be preordering their next game. I may buy it, but I sure as hell won't preorder.

I'm all for a new ending, but if people have to work to make it then they deserve to be paid for it.
