Agreed. I would like more diverse endings and I think $10 bucks is a small price to pay. Hell I spend more on beer. For good endings with LI, its worth every penny.-Draikin- wrote...
I'll pay if that's the only way for them to add diverse and new endings. I really don't care about getting free DLC that only "clarifies" the current endings.

I don't think they can fix my personal problems with the game with DLC. I am part of the minority that didn't think the game was all the great even before the terrible ending.
I tell you one thing that should be fixed ASAP is the import bug. That is inexcusable.

*nods* . I'd pay around 15-30 bucks and call it worth it assuming we get more endings, some sort of epilogue, no crashed Normandy and a chance to be with our LI if we and they survived

While your concern and arguments are valid, take a moment to consider how difficult this would be for Bioware to just make at the last minute. Paying voice actors, animators, writers... even if it is to cover up a massive mistake, they have bills to pay and families. I would be grateful for a $10 DLC.
Well the temporary loss will be more than made up in the long run. EA has been in the doghouse with gamers for a long time and now they seem to be dragging Bioware with them. Bioware being a company that used to seem to care greatly about it's customers.
So right now the loss would be to save face. I have been gaming for years(since 85) and the only community backlash I have seen as big as this was the NFL exclusive rights. Guess who was behind that one? I'd give you two guesses but you'll only need one.

I'm only interested in seeing this fixed. If Bioware fixes it at a reasonable cost, then I'll consider a purchase. If there is no cost, then Bioware earns "loyalty points" from me.
Either way, I won't be preordering their next game. I may buy it, but I sure as hell won't preorder.
Feel the same way but all in all I fear my days of preording BW/EA games is over regardless.

And I find it funny that people don't realise this could easily become the norm. Maybe it will be hidden better but DLC is the new cash cow. Now $60 games are becoming $100 games or more. Remember when you could rent a game and jump online? Then you could rent a game and get a free trial to experience online play. Well now you have to buy a $10 dollar pass just to experience online which can be the majority of the game in some cases. And guess who started the online pass? E.....A
If you aren't willing to "hold the line" now where will you draw the line? I have invested a lot of hours into the Mass Effect series. And some of you may have lives that allow infinite money and time to be invested in certain games. I am older(32) and can easily find other places to spend my time and money. Mass Effect is done for me. The game was not up to par for me and the ending sucked. I have little reason to invest more time and money into the series.
So just like the online pass, EA/Bioware can either chase after a potential $10 or a potential $60 or more. It is their gamble. I was willing to buy the recent Battlefield game but since I had to spend $10 just to experience the game I immediantly returned the game and never looked at it again.
I have already spend $300+ on Bioware products this generation. So your call Bioware. $10 for a short term investment or lose me as a consumer that will pay 30x that amount in the long run.

They crafted an ending they were proud of...and are considering making changes to appease SOME of their fans...to demand they do it for free is asinine.

I'll pay for a better ending, I want it to be worth something, not just some free slapped on patch. A DLC/Patch that is actually worked on.
I swear, EA's going to do this with every BioWare game from now.

Here's to hoping Bioware doesn't give us a "42" to be rid of us.
