If BioWare is going to patch the ending, there is no way I am going to pay for it. It should be offered for free as a gesture of goodwill to all of us who have bought the game and AS COMPENSATION FOR THE PAIN AND SUFFERING THE CURRENT ENDING HAS WROUGHT UPON MANY FANS.

Plus, if BioWare hadn't rushed the game, then this "better ending" would have been included with the game from the getgo. Which is why we should continue to hold the line until it is announced that everyone gets this modified ending FOR FREE.

Until then, please keep holding the line. We can do this. Today's announcement was a step in the right direction. But charging people $15 for a modified ending that SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE is something most of us should not stand for!

Well, I'm going to pay for perfect ending DLC, if it will not be free.

Please, people... Less rage, more constructive criticism.

By this time, I'm really asking them for a favor. Let's make this right guys. I understand they would need compensation for their continued work. I would not mind paying a fee for a well done ending.

If bioware is going to add additional  content they have every right to charge us for it.

No, you cannot demand that this is free.

Yes, Bioware screwed the pooch on the ending, but you CANNOT demand that they produce additional content for free. Voice actors need to be rehired and paid, art staff need hours, musicians need employment, writers need doughnuts.

Bioware are not obliged to listen to us. It is in their best interests, and the current ending is a travesty, but they are well within their rights to just say 'we like it, its ours, goodbye'.

And for god's sake those exclamation marks make this look stupid.

I am willing to pay for an ending dlc. How much depends on the content.

I'm not holding the line for "free" DLC. But I do hold the line for quality in accordance with cost.

"For free" is not necessary.

Depends on the individual. It is not necessary for some, and completely necessary for others.

F' that, you really think they'll give us free DLC?
LOL, in your dreams. I would pay for it honestly though, just as long as it involved little blue children. ;)

Don't you get it? The product was defective. It should be fixed. For free.

Would you pay a man twice for doing the same bit of work?

Be quiet. We deserve a modified ending for free. I've spent $60 already. BioWare does not deserve any more to rectify their mistakes. Free, or we will keep complaining. That is for certain.

Will not be silenced. Serious issue, threatening chances of satisfactory ending. Akin to war agitators in final days of Mexican American War. Threatening to undo delicate process up to now, out of greed, frugality. Unnecessary, unreasonable.

Will require significant financial investment to make. Unable to expect financial return. Would be illogical.

Already unreasonable.

I would pay for ending DLC if it meant a better product in the end

I'm actually conflicted on this. On one hand, they really failed to deliver the ending that they promised, though judging from Bioware's reaction, they really thought that they had. Fixing the ending now will require additional development time & resources, and to be honest I'd rather that they do it right and then charge us for it.

On the other hand, I'm also concerned that EA will try duplicating this in the future for its major money-making titles - insert flawed ending - wait for complaints - release good ending.

Someone convince me one way or another!

Bethesda did it right: Broken Steel gave a SUBSTANTIAL amount of content with their new ending.

As long as Bioware does that - not the pathetic amount that the put into From Ashes, but a DLC WORTH the money - then I'd pay for it.

About half the take back ME3 guys would be willing to pay for the ending while another half doesn't want to. the way I see it we may be going strong now but when/if they release a new ending and it does have a price tag on it the take back ME3 movement will have lost half of their forces and the only ones left will be the entitled, charitable and whiny 10 year olds that IGN, destructoid, and kotaku see us as.

There's little to no chance they'll release it for free unless its another half assed ending like a text only epilogue.

No it wasn't the product was fit for purpose and ran successfully on the intended platform, not liking the ending does not make the game defective.

Let's fix our demand.

I want the ending DLC to be both substantial and be developed and distributed for free. No compromises.

It really depends....

If it is just a tacked on epilogue then I would want it free.
However if they add lots of new content I would pay
While grumbling

Not really a line I think I want to hold. I'm interested in whatever works best as a motivator to get this ending made. Telling EA I will pay for a new ending is more likely to cause that than demanding it for free.
