Please, don't all-caps thread titles. You may think it draws attention to the thread (ok, maybe it does) but all it does is make the thread look loud and arrogant.

While I agree with you on your main points, I do believe that the points shuold be conveyed with a touch more civility. Also, I'd rather pay for a very well-crafted ending DLC than get a free, text-based epilogue patch.

Good point. Perhaps I did take it a bit too far. But, being loud draws in the attention.

We're not being greedy.

We are asking that BioWare gives us justice via free ending DLC which explains everything properly.

Justice, or death.

Not asking for justice. Concept inapplicable. Greedy post, becoming nauseating as it continues in brevity. Possibly troll. Can't tell. Saddened either way.

I will also add, if it was just a 'bad call'. Which happens sometimes, and they decide to fix it with at least modest production values.... Then yes. I would pay for it.

So 2 out of 3 scenarios I would, and should pay for it.

I frankly think a compromise is in order.
They make it, we pay a couple of bucks for it.
Neither part is very happy but it's something we can live with.

The sad part is, if they charged for the ending DLC,

most people would buy it anyways.

I sincerely believe that substantial, free ending DLC will right all of the wrongs in the past week.

To the Retakers: Go big, or go home. I plan to go big.

I hate to make waves in own ranks but I have to disagree. Bioware did a mistake with this ending but it is simply not reasonable to demand a DLC for free. Sometimes people are pushing this too far. If you hate them so much just stop buying their games and move on. Do you want your Mass Effect series to be "fixed" or not? Or 10 bucks is more important than that? Negotiation is an art and what we try to do here is to negatiote with Bioware a proper ending for ME series which lots of us believe original version did not deliver. We are not terrorists who keep a gun at Bioware's head and keep demanding stuff. At least I hope we are not since that is not a movement I would like to associate myself with. That being said, keep holding the line!

No, we cannot let the one organization on these forums falter, they have done so much for the community. I mean imagine how boring the forums would be without 700 threads about DLC, Ray's Blog, "I'm Angry". etc.

We are in full consensus that your posting style is priceless and should be commended. No structural weaknesses can be found. We are impressed.

This Krogan also finds it surprising that a lizard can make well structured points while still sticking to his true character.  The synthetic also impress me.  Very well done, it is an honor to stand along side the two of you and hold the line in battle.  Stab me in the back though and you become target practice.

No worries. I'm relieved your response is civil ;)

As for the 'go big or go home'... well, I guess I agree with your for the most part. I am just afraid that if Bioware makes a free ending fix, it will end up being subpar. And as I said: I'd rather pay for something good than get something mediocre for free.

Unsure what else to say or do. Passion being harnessed by greed, creates dangerous combo.

Worried will become single pebble of sand on beach. If small as the others, how will the tide know I was the one that didn't hate it?

Soooo, we get a pretty much broken ending that concludes nothing, answers nothing, and people are still willing to pay for a fix that should be in the game from the beginning?

No wonder we got what we got.

You are free to disagree, good sir. I can see where you are coming from.

But wait until BioWare actually succumbs to this demand. You will be $15 richer and have closure with ME. Sometimes you need to push hard to get what you want.

I will BUY DLC if it comes out. If it's free and intended to be free from the first place, then fine. Otherwise, pay to play. You know all the people who work on this stuff for long hours for years at a time? They need to eat, pay bills, and raise families.

Any type of resistance movement will have to be willing to make compromises. Like I said in another thread:

This is a form of negotiation. Back down too early and you get less than you could get. Never back down and you might not get anything.

This.  So many times this.  If you want Bioware to give you something different, give them feedback and let them know how you feel.  Do it in a way that is civil and befitting of a gamer/developer relationship.  This sense of entitlement and "they owe us" is absolutely ridiculous and out of control.  Get a grip on yourselves and act like adults.

IMO, if people are actually in favor of paid ending DLC, then they have no right to complain that it wasnt there in the first place.

you reap what you sew as far as im concerned.. and you are naive if you think this kind of practice wont continue in the future - i.e. release a $60 game with a crappy ending, and then charge $10 more for the real one.

If BioWare is going to patch the ending, there is no way I am going to pay for it. It should be offered for free as a gesture of goodwill to all of us who have bought the game.

Plus, if BioWare hadn't rushed the game, then this "better ending" would have been included with the game from the getgo. Which is why we should continue to hold the line until it is announced that everyone gets this modified ending FOR FREE.

Until then, please keep holding the line. We can do this. Today's announcement was a step in the right direction. But charging people $15 for a modified ending that SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE is something most of us should not stand for!

And the ending DLC better be substantial, to make up for the mistake. And developed for free.

Annnnd Occupy ME officially decends into self-parody. Thanks for playing.

going big isn't always going smart we have a vast majority of gaming communities against us already no need to give them more ammo by demanding the ending be free.
