I log into the game, I get a 20 second pause on the Press any button prompt that I never used to get and log into multiplayer.
My charicters are all there as normal, I select my weapons and everything looks fine.
Hit start game and it all goes pearshaped: the usual connecting window slowly fades in over the course of three minutes before I get a 'lost connection to EA servers, please reconnect' and this is infinately repeatable.
I looked at my connection, its not my firewall, I told Origin to repair my game (no fault found) and tried many other online games (all worked fine).
Suggestions please, pretty please, after a day like Ive had I need the stress relief of popping Cerberus heads.
<Fix was flushing my solid state cashe drive (to those interested, Z68 motherboard using a 60gb SSD for fast paging)>
