BioWare, you wanted commentary on how to fix this, start with the FALSE ADVERTISING!

Bioware made largely a great trilogy and got rewarded for that: people bought the collectors' editions, purchased DLC at peak release price, read the books, talked up the game to their friends etc.
But that's a double-edged sword. Break promises to your fans and this is what you get.

Yeah, trying to get them to address this thread.ConradsLaces wrote...
It sickens me to read this, and see just how many of the interviews were outright lies.
EDIT - It would be nice to see Frobes do an article on this kind of topic. Outright lies to the consumer... how it's bad for business.

Almost as much as I want the ending to the game I bought, I want Bioware to respond to each of these claims they made.
They won't, because that would involve having to admit they were wrong.

Unfortunately, many of these quotes were made after the game went gold, meaning the content was locked. Therefore, nobody seems to have a reasonable explanation for why they misled us.CmdrStJean wrote...
What I don't understand is if Bioware always had in mind an ambiguous ending, with "lots of speculation for everyone," as they claim, why make all these promises and proclamations in the first place? What were they thinking? Furthermore, I'd be interested to know when the OP's quoted statements were made versus when Mac Walters (et al) decided they wanted to give us the RGB-Star Child finale. Is there any possible way to square these apparently disparate intentions? Is it possible the original quotes are so old as to predate work on the present conclusion by a wide margin? I do wonder...

If anyone from BioWare is reading this thread, please understand that this is one of the reasons we're disappointed. It's frustrating when the product you buy does not match the promises made about it.

Even if they never offically admit wrongdoing, if they address these issues in whatever they release (DLC, whatever) then many would be happy. Some wouldn't, but you can't please everyone.chrrue_ wrote...

South Park would probably crap on the Retake movement becuase they wouldn't look any further than the surface. I seriously doubt they would dig into the complaints and verify if they were valid or not.

Of course, BioWare simply cannot afford to acknowledge that this post even exists, much less respond to any of the questions it raises. The same holds true for the bought media. Perhaps Erik Kain will pick up on it, though.
BioWare's going to get roasted come PAX, and they deserve every second of it.

I mean, this happens with basically every single movie, game, book, etc,but oh no, bioware is the exception to get angry about.
Not that the ending isn't crappy in a sense, but this everyday stuff, why complain now?

Thx 4 the thread mate - I sign that 150%!
I love Bioware and their games but I can not take what they did to my loved MassEffect-Triology with these endings. It needs definatly a patch that implements various endings with less open questions and more answers. The current endings seem to me like they had to do the last 10 minutes in a rush and thats why I can not accept them. I just want to get what was promised to me - like every other fan outside there. ME3 has been a great game (not the best in the triology but much better than other games I have seen the last time) but sorry I am feeling a bit mad about spending 70€ for an unfinished game in my eyes.
Sorry for my bad english... hope you guys know what I wanted to tell you all.
