BioWare, you wanted commentary on how to fix this, start with the FALSE ADVERTISING!

And I would still like you to point to the place in my original post where the amount of endings were even mentioned.Thalorin1919 wrote...

True, but I heard you can unlock even MORE endings by changing the contrast on your tv!

Those 16 endings boil down to 3 endings. All of which are nearly identical give or take some minor changes (most of which good players will never see anyway as they will have actually imported their character and then grabbed all war assets/done multiplayer). Excuse us if we fail to give them the time of day.

Great post. Yes, we bought the game based on the promises they had given us. Artistic integrity is improtant, but it doesn't mean you can go against everything you promised your customers.
Agreed. Seeing the OP lay out all the promises like that for us to see it does move me from initial disappointment to wanting an explanation from the gentlemen concerned. I do feel lied to now, what on earth happened to all those promises?.

Nothing which i did durning me1 and 2 or all me3 game has impact on the acaul ending...
As i wrote somewhere else - the conversation between shepard and catalyst at the end about repears is just dull and its a slap in my face. Somehow i have the feeling that bioware have hopes that their customers are brain dead...

Well said. Egg on our face if it was their plan all along to do an indoctrination theory.
That still means we didn't have an ending at realease. Meaning we didn't reseive the full game with purchase, even if it was planned to be free DLC. Also means we have to wait a month after release to get it. Still bad tactic imho.

The 16 different endings is like being invited to a party and being told there'll be 16 different drinks. When you get there you're given a choice between Carlsberg, Heiniken, Fosters, Bud, etc. Technically they were correct, but you can't help feeling you've been deceived.

I agree. While I will be happy to get a finished product finally, all this angst that has taken place in the meantime would not be appreciated. If this were the case, it wouldn't stop me from buying their products in the future, but I wouldn't pre-order anything again and I would be a lot more cautious (as opposed to instantly buying something because it is a BioWare product).Blarghonk wrote...

It is essentially artistic integrity vs ethitical integrity. But, given how willing Bioware has been to compromise its artistic integrity to make a larger profit it really shouldn't be surprising that they are willing to compromise their ethical integrity for the same reason.

You wanted feedback Dr. Ray, well here it is.
Leading up to the release of ME3, I read most--if not all--of these articles. So, yes, I was bitterly disappointed when I found out none of my choices mattered in the end. The only thing that made a negligible difference was the EMS score, which could be artificially inflated through several nonessential methods (such as fetch quests and multiplayer).
Bad writing, plot holes, and poor-execution aside, false advertisement quite aptly describes the ending.
^ Very this. I also caught an article where Hudson said we'd get something "special" if we kept our same LI through all three games. I re-crafted a new save to have Kaidan all three games so I could see what the special was....
and.... now I can't find that article... taken down perhaps?

Also - to this - when the Day 1 DLC scandal came out - they promised us a "complete" game - and the DLC would just be icing on the cake. If ending DLC was planned all along, it's simply another lie.

Exactly. If they did it this way I would still respect them as a developer, but as a buisiness they cannot have my money upfront based on passed experiences. I'll wait for the final product and consumer reviews. These DLC things are a tragedy. I like the aspect of expanding on the ME universe through DLC.
Adding stuff that was left out due to time restraints or just being one of those side things, but to DLC the actuall ending, and to quote Angry Joe, "NO... NO..NO"
