good job. I really dont think Bioware will answer this, though. they'll probably just be as passive aggressive as always. Id be impressed if they did.

Signed.

It's one thing to make a disappointing ending, it's entirely another to lie about it.

Thank you for gathering all these quotes in one place. I had deep disappointment in the ending from a literary standpoint, but I did not realize how far BioWare fell in terms of it's promises and statements pre-M3.

Know what I think? I think this entire "Retake" movement needs a clear set of terms. And I say, we won't stop holding the line until Bioware heads, and I mean heads, leads, everyone responsible, not some community speaker or PR employee or mod, comes forward, in person, and openly states that they messed up on keeping these promises, appologizes openly and directly to us and states that everything is on hold and fixing this has a priority.

I personally at least will not buy ANYTHING from Bioware OR EA again until I see this. And YES I can say that honestly. I got screwed by Paradox already,a company that I extremely supported. They screwed up, didn't appologize, no more games for me since then. Ubisoft pulled the crappiest DRM stunt ever and started ruining franchise after franchise at the same time? No more Ubisoft games for me since.

Listen EA/BIoware, whoever. I can live without you. WE can live without you. You cannot live witout us. So FOR ONE TIME IN YOUR LIFE, do the right and honest thing and cut the crap and simply openly human to human tell us what's what.

Your employees keep coming here complaining how we hate them and that we don't treat them as humans. Well guess what. Nobody ever appologized to us, nobody ever treated US on equal terms, nobody ever took us seriously although we spent our hard earned money or your crap and MADE YOU WHAT YOU ARE TODAY, ok? Without us none of your would have the job you are enjoying so much.

So finally, FINALLY cut the crap and fix THIS. Fix your open lies, fix your broken promises. Otherwise you'll lose me and a whole lot of other people. GUARANTEED!

Bioware should say something about all those quotes. They want us to trust them but we get all those lies instead.

Good points OP. As for how we feel about changes to the ending...

Bioware take a look at this poll.

http://social.biowar.../index/10133310

It has plenty of good ideas based on how many of us feel.

I'm actually thinking about sending a similar email. Though to me they're separate issues this is the reason I won't be pre-ordering any Bioware games anytime soon. (and its also why I still agree with the guy who filed the FTC complaint).

This is an example of why BioWare shouldn't bother trying to satisfy the nerd-rage crowd. No matter what is offered or what is changed they will never be satisfied.

Not being satisfied with lies? yea I'm sure that would go for anyone buying a product. Fail troll.

Not liking it =/= Lies

Interview with Casey Hudson (Director)
http://www.gameinfor...s-effect-3.aspx

“For people who are invested in these characters and the back-story of the universe and everything, all of these things come to a resolution in Mass Effect 3. And they are resolved in a way that's very different based on what you would do in those situations.”

Personal favorite...

Idc if they address it with words....but they said they want constructive feedback....so maybe if they do actually look at this they will see the real reason behind our varying dislikes of the last 10 minutes of the game.....

And maybe....just maybe....they will address all of these issues in DLC and it will be clearly evident in the end. That would be the Ideal result.....and that is far better than addressing it with words

Bioware really did say that the endings would be more varied and reflect user choice far more than they actually do so. So, while I think this is an honest mistake, I'm gonna sign this as a way of saying "Bioware, this is one of the reasons we're unsatisfied customers".

Before Bioware releases whatever content they are planning to announce in April, they should go over each and every one of those promises that is quoted here and see if this content will fulfill these promises in their fans eyes.

Technically speaking, they are. Especially if the quotes originate from articles, websites or magazines which also feature advertising or paid promotion of the game.

If it's part of the marketing and promotion and it's not delivered or factually incorrect when the product is launched, it is therefore false.

Actually I am not that kind of person but after reading this I have to say the whole negative critics and sh*storm all over the internet serves BW / EA right!

Advertising your product is alright. Even praising it to the sky is not wrong if the product keeps the advertising promises.

But ME3 does not keep it. Worse they rest on their laurels and praised ME3 to the sky because of their predecessors' success.

This is even bad in casual business but it's worst in gaming society where the fan base has always the upper arm in the long-run.

I hope the devs can solve this huge problem.

Speaking of myself: I am very sceptical now with future DLC and won't buy anything without hesitation like I was doing back with ME2 DLC.

And also these things where said right up until release with game already shipped to retailers. Not just said but hyped out anywhere and everywhere they could.

Now i have never thought that everyone can be satisfied and gratified by a product. its simply impossilbe. But the gaming industry (and this does not just relate to this current situation) really needs to cut down on the hyperbole.

Strong advertising is one thing. Starting into the gray zones of outright lying is another.

If they don't and any of you are still going to buy any of their stuff then this industry and this entire community deserves to go down the drain.

Liars and people loving to be lied to... sorry, that's not my world. That's not the way I develop games, that's not the way I want to play games.

Excellent job. This is exactly why we as fans are unhappy with the game. We were told it was going to be "this" and we ended up getting "that". I can't tell you how deflated, depressed and disappointed I was at the ending(s). I still want to believe that this can't be the ending they intended if taken on face value and no indoctrination theory. I can't see how anyone would think these endings were acceptable.
