Seriously, even Microsoft has abandonded trying to sell games through a backwards, consumer unfriendly point system on the PC Marketplace.

Now that the DLC is delivered through Origin (big step in the right direction), why is it that we still have to buy it the DLC through Bioware's site using ever so distasteful Bioware points and not just by buying it in direct dollars on Origin?

EA already has a tough enough time convicing people Origin is a worthwhile place to buy games; when you don't have a consistent, easy to use storefront for all content within your own company it doesn't look very good.
