I am firmly in the retakemasseffect-hatedtheending camp but I like to think that most if not all of my posts have been firm yet constructive about my dislike of the ending and what I feel is the problem.

And the vast majority of the many THOUSANDS of people who disliked the game ending felt, and acted the same as me.

Loved the game, hated the ending. Spoke about it in a constructive, polite, and firm manner. To demonstrate to Bioware that we love them but we don't feel the ending was acceptable.

Unfortunately there has been a small group of people on here, on twitter, and on Facebook that have not been constructive or polite. Or even just firm. These people have just been outright nasty.

And throughout all this controversy Jessica Merizan has pretty been the "public face" of Bioware; and thus had to deal with the brunt of the criticism and vitriol.

So I just wanted to say in light of the official apology from Dr Muzukya (if not any official confirmation on any changes forthcoming) that I feel that we all should thank Jessica for how awesome she has been during this whole thing.
Because she totally has been awesome.

So thank you Jessica for being awesome about our complaints (constructive or not); about making a real effort to understand us and where we were coming from when so many others didn't even seem to be trying (even Casey Hudson didn't seem like he really got what the whole ending thing was about if his press releases were anything to go by), and some "journalists" being openly derisive and nasty about us; and for at least coming off like you got us.

Jessica Merizan is a real champ. She's been all over Twitter, talking to fans of all kinds and doing her best to keep everyone calm.

She even popped in here last night. Total class act.

Thank goodness for Jessica. Even if we don't get an ending that satisfies it's nice to know at least someone at Bioware cares enough to listen.

I don't know if I am right or not but I definately feel like Jessica championed our cause to her bosses. And I just wanted her to know that I think she is awesome and I am grateful for her.

Your post gives me the impression you think this is over.

It's not over. Not by a long shot.

/signed... i think BioWare reacted all in all really OK ... i can't remember that such a s***storm over broke loose after releasing a game.
Somehow they can feel flattered that so much people care... and for those who are just rude and destructive... ignore them please

I'd say only a tiny group of people that post here have engaged in rudeness directly towards to developers on Twitter. Trolls from other websites are mostly responsible for that debacle. But yeah, it doesn't help the typical Mass Effect fan's image. You have to be know that the people who attack developers don't want us to progress, they just want to cause trouble for everyone. They should never be taken seriously. I hope Bioware can tell the difference between a fan or a troll, sometimes it's hard to do.

This. I don't know where she gets the patience to reply to all those tweets and then come here.

She is a good person. But I'm afraid I will have to be wary about her until we get the endings the series needs. Then, I will gladly give all the thanks she deserves.

So we'll hunt her, because she can take it. Because she's not a hero. She's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. The PR Agent.

I'm CB and this is my favorite post in the forums. Poor Jessica, she's been fielding a lot of flak. I'd like to believe that the majority of people have been constructive with their criticisms and kind to Bioware's employees--they're people too, after all!--but I'm a little too jaded for that. :(

She has had to face a big part of the backlash and she didn't have control over the ending.

I agree, Jessica has been great. I know she's a big fan of Mass Effect herself, so I'm sure she gets where we're coming from.

I have to say, though, from what I've seen this has been a remarkably constructive breed of fan outrage, so I'm not sure to what the devs were referring with their comments on destructive fans feedback...

I do not see how.

I specifically acknowledged that Dr Muzukya's blog post doesn't really say anything much more than what we already knew. But it at least acknowledges and even apologises for the problem.

It isn't over no. But really that is sort of irrelevant to the point of this thread.

The point being to acknowledge the awesomeness of Jessica Merizan lol.
