She's been a good sport throughout the whole thing and has replied to almost everyone she could on Twitter even people who were trashing her. Thank You!

It is really horrible that some foolish misguided people have personally attacked Ms Merizan. She totally didn't and doesn't deserve it.

I really hope she see's this thread.

Maybe it'll cheer her up.

:)

Indeed. You were our only source of knowledge throughout the beginning phases of the Retake movement. On your own time no less.

We salute you.
Cheers.

Thanks Jessica! It's sad that some out there feel that the best way to voice their opinion is by being rude, abusive and just plain nasty.
We love you. And puppies and dinosaurs.

I never quite worked up the courage to join in the Twitter debate, but in every re-post I've seen, Jessica carries herself with a lot of grace under pressure. For weeks, she's managed to maintain a professional, courteous, and positive attitude in the middle of an unrelenting firestorm where every staff response has been under a microscope.

Though unfortunately never stated enough, she's exactly the kind of person who should be representing BioWare to its customers, and I hope EA knows that.

Get some rest Jessica! Thank you for your time, your patience, and your excel sheets. :)

I wasn't aware until recently that Jessica had been swarmed and basically driven out of actively engaging with the community. My earlier post would have been less lighthearted if I had known.

People who respond in this fashion do not represent me or my opinions, nor do I feel any association with them over whatever beliefs they may claim to share.

Jessica, thank you for your support, your advocacy, and your respect. Your efforts are valued, even if it doesn't always appear to be so.

Not just Jessica, but nearly all of the Bioware folks we interact with everyday. This has to be incredibly frustrating/taxing/hard/etc etc, and they have handled themselves extremely politely/professionally, even in the face of some extremely negative and unacceptable comments. My thanks go out to Jessica Merizan for helping us to keep the faith, regardless of our belief on the ending [Firmly in the RetakeME camp here], as well maintaining an EXTREMELY upbeat and positive attitude. My thoughts and thanks also go out to the Moderators and other public faces, like Chris Priestly, who is on here everyday busting his butt to keep us in line and informed. Jarret Lee for his dialogue with the community from his own home, letting us know his personal thoughts and views, without exploding like he probably wants too. Stanley Woo is working like a dog to keep this place in a semblance of order, and he has managed to avoid snapping, which is a miraculous feat in and of itself. Plus, End of Line is a reference to my favorite movie ever, so that's mad props. Finally even good ol' Ray Muzyka [Get an easier to spell name! :D RetakeRay'sName?] for what had to be a frustrating and difficult letter to write. Yeah, it might have been vague, but he strapped on his big boy boots and owned up to the fact that people didn't love it, and how it hurt. Love him or hate him, you have to respect that he called it like it is.

I firmly hope for a new ending to ME3, and if we don't get a better one, I will be very wary and skeptical of doing business with Bioware again. That is a business decision. Personally, I have a ton of respect for how the public faces have handled themselves in the face of this issue, and that has earned a lot of my respect back for them. I am still strongly in favor of a better ending and will show my dissatisfaction with my wallet, but I still believe in Bioware and their ability to make the best games on the planet. Thanks again guys, and please, give us a better ending :)

There's a reason the Press Secretary position has such a high turnover rate compared to the rest of the White House staff. I do not envy anyone with a job like that. You don't get to make the decisions, but you have to stand out there in front of the s#!t storm caused by them so your boss doesn't get covered in it.

It is fair to say that Jessica has been a great example of the way a good CM can really make a huge difference. Anyone can manage an outpouring of love, but it takes a lot more to surf a tidal wave of frustration like she has been able to do.

How can anyone stay so positive through all of this? Seriously, she never seemed to get down about it at all.

Great outlook, great job, great sport.

Cheers to you, Jessica.

Any sort of customer relations job can be a massive pain, and takes -at times- more than human amounts of patience and forbearance. I work retail as a manager, and that alone gets very trying on my nerves when we go through what seems to be phases of people who just cannot be pleased and whine at the littlest provocation. I can't begin to imagine or fathom dealing with hundreds, maybe thousands, of people banging on my Twitter, probably the PM box, and elsewhere, clamoring about being unhappy, even if I believed them justified. It becomes tiring physically and mentally and you do eventually have to just pull away and re-carve some space for yourself.

That she lasted as long as she did before shutting down game discussion on her Twitter amazes me, frankly. And yes, even people who are polite with their criticism can still be tiring when it's so many, so no I am not calling anyone out on being rude or mean, though there obviously were some individuals going that route.

I don't envy her her job, and commend her for having such patience and pleasantness in the face of a very messy firestorm.

Signed.

Jessica has been an exemplary member of the BioWare team. In truth they pretty much all have. Casey Hudson's response might be the least favorable, but even it wasn't derisive or anything and the fans had essentially just finished collectively kicking him in the junk over the project he was responsible for (even if we were mostly polite about said kicking). So yeah, Jessica is fantastic, and so is BioWare in all this.

Hold the line, but do so with grace and style.

P.S. - I'm really strangely proud of this thread and how largely devoid of any negative commentary it is. Way to go fanbase!

Jessica just wanted to say that we all really do appreciate what you do, As well, as what you had to put up with through this entire situation. Where most Community Man agers would have disengaged, You actively engaged not just because its your job, but because you truly do care about the fans. So heres a props to you. You Held the Line for us, We will Hold the Line for you
