Any one know if this is in the works.  I've been lucky enough to almost zero FR issues, but my load times can be well over 30 seconds sometimes pushing 45.

Maybe I should be griping at Sony for not letting us choose to install disc games.  I would have cancelled my order and got the digital ed, but I figured this game would have had a mando install.

I wish Bioware would give us a patch that would allow us to install me3 on to the ps3 instead play off the disc.

No one knows what bioware is doing because they haven't told us anything. The only feedback we get is the very vague "we are working on the issue" response.

please make an install patch BW!!! I would prefer this over an extended ending to tell you all the truth. I would feel more comfortable if this game was more in line with mass effect 2 in terms of the hdd install.

I've not touched the PS3 version in weeks either because of some MP crash that locked and reset my profile, rendering trophies defunct.

I have finished the game twice but can't get the platinum because of it.

Using a new PSN (well I have another PSN account) has allowed me to play it with no major problems (the odd glitch and freeze*) and completed it 3 times on that account (only need to get 5000 kills).

But I really want to be able to complete the game properly on my main PSN account and do another Insanity run.

*That is definitely due to the zero install option as it always happens in the same areas with the BD drive doing overtime.

Yes, if nothing else there should be an install option in the next patch.

Please, bioware...this maybe asking much but we love your game and we'd like it to be more playable.

I have the psn copy of ME3 (installed) and the disc version.

I can tell you there is no difference between the two. I still get frame rate problems in MP in both versions and have to restart every 3-4 hours. Namely Giant, Condor, and Hydra. Other maps glitch out my game as well but that's just from playing 3-4 hours straight. Even leaving the ps3 on for awhile without playing can lead to frame rate issues.

Yes but with the downloadable version you don't have the extra stress on your bd drive.

Very confusing indeed. Anybody with half a brain knows running a Unreal Engine 3 game on PS3 with no install option is a very bad idea. Not to mention having any game run from the disc the way ME3 does burns out your Blu-Ray drive faster than you can say "Mass Effect Field".

Also any game with a online multiplayer feature SHOULD at least have an optional install. I fear for the future of gaming seeing the types of mistakes game developers are making these days.

No... I don't think so anyway. Multiplayer, EC and more Multiplayer. Next patch will probably be some Online fixes.

This needs to be understood.
The problems with the game are NOT with where the game files are located.
The problem is that there is a memory leak which results in excessive paging and eventually the drive starts thrashing. Once the drive is thrashing, the frame rate drops to 1 frame per 2-4 seconds, and eventually locks up completely.
