Came on some months back. Had some fun with the Deception fiasco.

I WAS planning to leave this place behind once the game came out because I assumed I would be otherwise occupied and have no need to return, other than general news of upcoming DLCs and such.

Ho-ho-HOOOOO, was I wrong!

I got my account to register Mass Effect 2. I only started posting after I finished Mass Effect 3 but I read more about the ending than posting about it. *cut*

I used to post on the old mass effect forums alot (before bioware social network) .. over 700 posts in a month. I liked reading the debates, discussion, and speculation on everything in Mass Effect 1. It's where the Leviathan of Dis was first rumored to be a Reaper or a precursor to the Reapers instead of an easter egg. It's where the idea that the defeat of Sovereign's avatar through Saren disrupted his shields and led to him being destroyed .. many rejected the idea and said it was just a coincidence on the timing of the cinematic.

Mass effect 2 disappointed me in the central story content so I stopped posting. Why? There was no answers to solve the Reaper threat. Any solution had to come in ME3 and at the start to avoid looking like a dues ex machina .. just like I predicted.

Edit: forgot something.

I had not even registered my game before... I only joined the discussions to voice my unsatisfaction.

I also used to be a lurker and am now fairly active after having been severely disappointed by the direction the team went with the ending.

I feel that having the Normandy scene at the end made little or no sense no matter which ending was chosen.

I feel the "Star Child" conversation failed to allow me to react the way my Shepard would have in that situation (I personnally think he would have pointed out the flaws in its logic regarding the relationship between AI and organics since I had EDI and the Geth working together with organics for a better future).

I feel like I didn't see enough of the ending battle and that I didn't feel as drawn in as I could have been starting after I left the FOB.

I also felt like there was no closure at the end regarding the characters I have come to care deeply about through out the entire journey from ME1 through ME3.

I am usually not spending any time on forums and if then only as a lurker. But this embarrasing ending made so angry, that I went directly into this forum and started supporting the retake mass effect movement.

BW must currently experience a much higher forum utilisation than they usually would in "normal" times.

I only once used these forums before, and that was to clarify some things about DA:O. I checked out the forums again right after finishing ME3 and within the next couple of days I was posting regularly.

I was around a lot after ME2, and DA:O, then left for a while to do other stuff. On the lead up to ME3 I purposefully avoided the forums to avoid spoilers. Came here pretty quickly after I beat ME3 though to add my voice to the line.

Also...

NEVER FORGET MARAUDER SHIELDS!

Well, that could have been expected if the endings had been satisfactory, as well.

But, that's not what happened.  And I'm sure they know the real reason for the uptick of forum-goers.

Joined here because I wanted to see how other people reacted to the story end ending. At the time I hadn't decided wherether I liked the ending or not so wanted to hear what other people had to say.
Now I just hang around (in all subforums, not just 'Story') and voice my opinion once in a while. It is hard to follow all the discussions because people are so active here, so I don't get heavily involved in any (lack of time to keep track of all the posts).

I usually avoid forums like the plague, but I couldn't let the endings stand, and seeing everyone in here feeling the same way and trying to do something about it made a poster out of me.

I held this account for 2 years and not one post, then completed ME3 on the weekend, havent been off since. I dont usually come near game forums all that much if at all, but this one or at least the retake threads are civil, for the most part.

I never found the need to be such an active poster on this forum unit after ME3 Roshambo'd me with the ending.

Played ALL of Bioware's games and NEVER posted or participated in this forum or any other Bioware-related site, but this was so repulsive I just had to.
As for the ones that are still in the 90% - NONE of the people I know or heard of liked the endings. Not a single one. That's your vocal "minority".

I'd visit the forums but I didn't start posting until the ending of ME3 happened!

Nope. Never even read the forum before ME3.  Joined specifically because of the ending.  I know 30 other people who also hate the ending, but don't do forums.

Never posted before finishing ME3 and wanted to express my disappointment with the ending.
