Tutorial doesn't say how. So I am asking here:
When you create a conversation what do I put in NPC line to make the game automatically pull up the player's name? in BG2 its <CHARNAME>, I have tried it in DAO conversation but it returns error. I've also tried <PLAYER> and <PLAYERNAME>. Can someone answer this question please? Also it would be good to see a list of code we can use in conversations.
From the tutorial I only learned <act></act>. There must be many more. What are they, where can we see it?
Thanks in advance.
How to (player tag) in conversation lines.

Ohm, so should I just put <FIRSTNAME/> Say like:
[[OWNER]]Hi, <FIRSTNAME/>! How are you today?
Hi, I am good.
I'll try when I get home. Thanks for this info though.

In dialog_tags.xls :
- http://pastie.org/720824 (edit: the forums strips tags even inside the [code=auto:0] block, so here is a pastie...)
Some are restricted to the NPC speakers use, as far as I recall.

Thanks much Phaenan. What do they do though? I only know '<act>' so far from tutorials and examples. What are the rest for?

Nope, just stumbled upon that 2DA while browing the various 2DAs to get a good feeling of what could be found there.
Oh, wait, I did use desc actually. You'll find some info on that one and a few others on the wiki :
