I was hoping to avoid political-type crap for a while, honestly.  Got burned out with all that's going on in the U.S., and was hoping ME3 would be a great escape from it.

Well, if the horde of flamewar loving trolls viciously attacking everything posted by the retaker crew was controlled the forums wouldn't have degenerated this bad.

Then again, between Casey and Ray tossing truckloads of gasoline on the fire with their PR spin filled blogs of vague nothingness, and the troll assault, this forum is basically useless.

Why not just come out and say that nothing will be announced until PAX East? This typical Bioware PR vagueness and denial is doing nothing but pissing people off. Oh and the lie filled post by Jarett about MP not being required is effectively a salt box taped over an open wound.

Which took them months to make and was not the first in their list of priority. There's no 'enemy' in this scenario, old boy. This isn't a battle and nor ought it be. It's a consumer / developer conflict that we'll see how will resort by petitioning and by being expressive in our grievances with the product.

Please, be more thoughtful about the issue and give up on idle anger - fuel that rather with the intent to express what you want them to do, rather than shouting about how '****' they are.

I think it is well established by now that 99,9999% of the owners of ME3 think it is a great game with a bad ending and not in a sense of "bittersweet", but really bad written for the final 10 minutes due to reasons everyone is sick of repeating like that meme photo about synthetics klling organics to prevent synthetics from killing organics...

If 0,0001% are so mad as to bang their head against the wall... well, that's brain injure material. And ratings done by computing votes of people who haven't bought or played the game cannot be taken seriously. At least that is 99% of the posts I read on Metacritics by user reviews with a zero for rating. "I didn't play it and I hate the game not just the endings". LOL

Was Bethesda's response out within 2 weeks of launch?  Look, if you want any chance of a better ending you're going to have to have at least a bit of patience.  Gigantic Organizations don't turn on a dime.  It literally makes no sense what soever to be more hostile when we're making at the very least public relations gains.

Yup, when something like this comes up there are bound to be trolls, people who are entirely too passionate about a given topic and (accidentally) take it too far, and everything in between who do not reflect the views of the majority. One thing everyone in favor of conducive, positive dialogue can do regardless of their personal viewpoint is condemn inflammatory crap and work together to keep it to a bare minimum. It's common ground, and that's what resolves conflicts.

We haven't been given any details on why Mass Effect has it's own panel at PAXE.  Forget the whole interconnected franchise feature and all that, why would a game already released have a major panel at an event typically used as a launch for pre-E3 coverage?  It just seems odd.

It's not just people being disrespectful/hostile towards Bioware... it's towards each other.

No matter what side you are on, there is no need to lash out at someone else because they don't have the same opinions as you. That's one thing that makes me sad even if they don't associate themselves with the Retake Movement.

I know it would be unrealistic for everyone to get along when it comes to different opinions, but I just hope that you remember to hold your tongue from saying anything rude towards not only Bioware, but those that oppose your view of the ending.

We are no "occupy bioware forums" movement, and should build a poll.

This is getting very hard not only for bioware, is the same for us. If this continue, the company will be badly damaged economically and their name will be scrapped.

Is not fair. They made a terrible ending (for us), but they deserve the chance to fix it. And we can help them.

Hold the line, but don't fire at the persons who want to end this war. We are at war... no one wants to admit it, but... you know.

We must fix this WITH THEM, not AGAINST.

Great points.  The powers that be at Bioware are only digging deeper and deeper and insulting us more and more. 

In their defense, how do you fix false advertising?  If you admit it, you are in big trouble legally.  If you don't, you have this kind of consumer backlash. 

The only way out of this for them that I can think of is say.  We're sorry you don't like the ending, as Rey said, and we will give you the ending you've made clear that you want.

That way he isn't admitting the false advertsing and totally avoiding it all together, but at the same time giving us what we were told we were going to get.  <-----  That is what I expected from Rey.  Not the insults of my intelligence as he rejurgintated how right they are and how we are a minority that doesn't know better, which is why he brought up the critics again.


This is coming from someone that LIKES the "partial" ending.  Resist indoctrination and wake up where Harbinger knocked you out still alive, instead of indoctrinated.  I thought it was a nice touch, but it's clearly not the full ending we should have received.

Thanks, Mr Epler. I have to admit it's rather consoling to see a comment that indicated BioWare recognizes the difference between passionate fans and, well, those guys. Hopefully a sign that our voices are being seen for what they are.

You see this? Most of it is from people trying to provoke us. All I see is the retake group expressing their opinions and then we get a bunch of people calling us names.
