Agreed. Thats one of the risk of starting a movement and gaining members so quickly. You start recruiting people who are unable to control their passion or their "inner troll" and they start hurting the image of a once noble group. Next thing you know civil people begin to leave the movement out of concern of being associated with those who are going too far. Its tragic really. But regardless I feel the movement must continue strong and continue to elaborate on the "be civil/polite" aspects of the group. Dont lose hope

Yes I don't think we should give up because of some rude people.

I must be on an alternate universes forum, cause the past days the first page has been more or less dedicated to attacking people who donated to charity and those that want change.

The best part is most people are attacking Bioware because they were remaining silent.

Then they spoke on this matter and said they were listening and people got even angrier. People are calling for the company to collapse and using insane analogies and deceit to make Bioware fall apart, and a high enough number asked for their money back from a charity that the charity had to change it's rules and shut it's doors.

Exactly our reason why I posted my concerns. Something aint right now. Or are we simply losing our common sense? Refund from CHARITY, what in the name of...?

Using deceit, wanting to sue Bioware, giving the game 0/10, comparing it to getting their mother raped, wanting people to be fired, calling for the company to collapse, making threads about how to get your money back that's full of praise and support, demanding their money back from a charity and forcing it to change it's rules, the list goes on and on.

Something tells me a lot of this movement had no common sense from the begining.

Hah! You may be right. Its unfortunate that a very big portion let their emotions cloud their brains. Doesnt stop me though, I still keep on trying in a way this movement was supposed to go.

Lets keep our chill pills within hands reach this time!

I'm really questioning the credibility of "some" fans in the movement by doing this, they are giving us a bad name and that's food for all those sites like IGN (for giving an example, not acusing, just an example)...
We don't gain nothing by insulting BW or the devs, and certainly we don't gain anything by fighting each other.

So calm down people....don't ruin what we have achieve with this crappy attitude.

I honestly dont understand whats going on, BW finally says theyre actually working on it, instead of just listening and people go even angrier >_>?

Now thats weird, i mean, ive been angry at BW enough to want to..... do.... things to them, and one of the things thats made me so angry was their absolute silence about the matter.
They finally said something that was not COMPLETE pr and even so theres people angry....

Please someone explain me why -_-?

actually unless there's been newer statement I missed. The post by the boss of Bioware was not all sweetness and light. It containment a few allusions and mistatements that were probably meant for spin but proved to be inflammatory. Then we had the people who were overinvested in the charity drive being told that PA wanted us to stop. Since PA is getting tarred with the IGN brush that didn't over well either. Many Retake members have been patrolling the forums, and pissing on fires but I guess the internet rage machine has fully spooled up.

Easy to say when you're in opposition to it. No agenda with that statement? I could argue there's been nonsensical activity from the pro side. Less prevelant perhaps because of fewer numbers.  but...

Staying optimistic. After some rest, I believe cooler heads will prevail. Hoping some people who lost their cool last night will come back and calm down after some rest. Can't cure the stupid though, unfortunately.

And personally, I don't give a flying crap what IGN has to say about anything. They're going to insult and belittle us even if we were nothing but a collection of saints out to peacefully protest. We need to pull back together and re-focus on our goal, which is simply to get a better ending.

We don't want Bioware to get dissolved, or their HQ to be burned down. If anything, the opposite, we want Bioware to be better than what we feel we got at the end of ME3. Or at least, I do. We're only going to cause more problems for ourselves the more angry we get.

+2.
I myself am cautiously optimistic after the BW response yesterday. I'm not declaring victory and throwing a party. I'm not any angrier about the ending than I was before. I'm not letting up on spreading the word to have players voices heard, no matter what 'side' they fall on. I don't believe BW is evily finding ways to defame the RetakeME3 movement. Neither do I believe that most members of the movement are remotely the sorts who would emand money back from a charity or any of the other unfortunate nonsense that's popped up of late.

I do believe that, unfortunately, people in large groups all too easily decline into a mob mentality and any hint of blood in the water will stir them up worse than sharks. So now more than ever: Be civil. Be polite. Be passionately, positively proactive. (...yeah, I couldn't help giving in to alliteration there). Continue to discuss things intelligently. Be patient without becoming apathetic. April isn't that far away: Let's see what happens and take it from there.

/end 2 cents.

there always have been and always will be rager/flamer/trolls around the internet. i don't get why we all even bother complaining about them.
you know? don't feed the trolls... so yeah, it sucks when raging people (may i say kids?) start to personally insult eployes of bioware or other forum members but this is just "how a forum works".

just lock them down (ban them from the boards). the more intention they get the more will they scream and distract those who try to contribute...

Hence my warning. Avoid mob mentality. It spreads easily when emotions are involved... If somebody posts something negative about Bioware (true or lie), dont jump into bashing it without thinking first.

Generally speaking I Stay Out of the large threads because so many conversations are cross cutting so maybe I've missed on some of the nuttier posts; so far in the last two weeks I've been on here the more hostile posts have been aimed AT the Retakers.

I'm sure some of have gotten more than a little...intense but out and out aggression? No, I haven't seen that.

Dr Ray said we'd hear something April-ish. If we don't get something decent (pay or free) then that will be something I consider a lie. That will officially end my customer relationship with Bioware.
So far I consider the stuff (gameplay) that ended up being untrue--empty promises-not lies.

I think most people are getting restless now, knowing that we will have to wait until April to get any concrete news. Not just some mystified "we are listening."

Maybe we should all take up hobbies for the next few weeks.

Or atleast this weekend, chill out and check back at monday. Have a huge backlog of games anyway that I need to check out, and a box of beer in the fridge. But instead I have been hanging around here, through the damn week even.

Speaking of which, why am I still here then...?

Someone in some other thread jokingly mentioned making over a new ending with Lego props. ^_^ I'd totally make that my new hobby if:
a) I owned any Lego toys
B) I had any modicum of technological knowledge of stop motion filiming and other, you know, complex 'how to make this and get it on da webz' things.

Someone brilliant should get on it. :wizard:
