When I first started playing, things looked good performance-wise.  But ever since the last update where the Packs came out, my performance has dropped significantly.  No matter what options I change, the game refuses to perform well, even if I change the resolution.  It's playable, but not smooth.  What's going on and how can I get it to perform properly?

Yeah, same here - it seems to have taken a performance hit since the last MP patch...

It's kind of annoying, especially during MP. I just don't know what was changed to reduce performance where before it was as fine as any other game...

Probably a weird side-effect of some ninja change they made. It is driving me mad in multiplayer. Random slowdowns get people killed.

EDIT:
We're not the only ones. Some people have acheived workarounds by any of the following a) disalbing the in-game Origin overlay, B) updating graphics card drivers (particularly if you missed the most recent Nvidia update), c) re-installing graphics card drivers, d) disabling Ambient Occlusion and or Anti-Aliasing in the Nvidia control panel.

I will try d) then c) when I get home later. B) and c) could cause d) to happen, so that seems like a good place to start, and I don't want to try a) unless there all else fails because it means no invites or Origin chat.

Hmmm, good steps to try. I'll see what happens.

Upgrading the drivers did it. Apparently my old ones, 295.51 to the latest ones, 296.10, helped. Things are back to being smooth.

Cool, that's good to hear. I already have 296.10 but I'm hoping that the AO or AA settings got accidentally changed to forced on or something.

I tweaked a couple of settings in the Nvidia Control Panel and everything is fine again. Either the patch interacts weirdly with some options that it didn't before, or something changed the options.
