I am currently doing the "save Victus on Tuchanka" mission, and each time I kill the brute in the battle with the black star (just before reaching the Victus himself I guess), the game freezes/crashes.

I tried reinstalling. Didn't work.
I tried updating my nVidia drivers. Didn't work.
I restarted the mission twice. Didn't work.
I installed the DLLs  as the FAQ sas. Didn't work.

I can't continue my progress and it also seems nobody on the net has this issue.

Help?

(I have a nVidia 540M and I'd post my dump file I knew where it was saved...)

P.S.
Killed plenty of Brutes before without problem. It just happens every single time in the exact spot I described. I even tried letting my squad mates kill the Brute instead of me landing the killing blow.

You are not alone, you are just stuck at one point. I have crashed in every mission I have played. The only reason I have gotten anywhere is I have some different save points. Look for random crashes, freezes, lockups, and BSODs. They are occurring more frequently than you realize.Oh, and I've tried everything you have and then some. My only hope now is a patch.

If you really want to be helpful, run dxdiag and save the results to a file; then open that file and copy it and paste it in a message in this thread, so Bioware can use that data in patching the game.

How did you continue if it kept crashing then?

I was born with a stubborn streak.

I just started Origin and there appears to be an update for ME3.

Actually, lucky me! Just fixed it by doing "Repair installation".
