IGN is a joke. Seriously.

I can't even be bothered to read their site anymore after how they handled this.

Where was their "Fallout 3: A DANGEROUS PRECEDENT" video?

Or the "Prince of Persia Epilogue: A DANGEROUS PRECEDENT" video?

They didn't change the endings. Fallout revived your character for DLC milking. POP added an epilogue for fan closure.

What some of you are asking for is a whole new ending, storyline, closure, and plot hole fixing. that changes more than anyone has ever done.

ofcourse to me it sounds like you are just getting an epilogue and explanation of the ending but IGN thinks you are getting a full new storyline ending via DLC. I didn't hear that from Bioware

He's all kinds of mad. It's funny how he calls us whiners when the vast majority of us are being civil and he goes and does this.

IGN is funded by ad dollars from the big publishers. EA probably pays for half their staff's salaries, so obviously they're not going to badmouth EA.

Why people still visit IGN is beyond my comprehension, however. Do you really like reading paid advertisements / fluff pieces that much? Same goes for PC Gamer.

i for one am okay with the endings...... as in i understand why they are the way they are. but i do wish for better ones, so this was good news to me that they are trying to fix this "problem" with the game. I will pay for this dlc

I too am happy to pay for additional content.  I loved the ending to ME3, but can also appreciate others may not have.  More ME3 content makes me happy regardless!

I actually think ign is hurting more now at this point then helping, if I was bioware I'd just go "please... just please shut up".

The Colin on the left o the screen liked and understood the ending? I wish he'd explain it. I'd love for somebody to stuff the plotholes.

He's also contradicting himself. On the one ,he doesn't approve developers giving in to fans asking for a change. On the other hand, he complains about the prospect of an alternate ending that might make the one he experienced absolete. A nice role reversal....

Yeah, and Dillinger Escape Plan sucks. He can't even listen to music right.

this guy is a complete idiot.

the master of the english novel, dickens, wrote most of his works episodically. weekly instalments. what impact did this have? there was an interplay between dickens & his audience so that he could see their reaction & alter his story depending on their reaction.

don't for a second tell me that me 3 comes anywhere near the magnificence of dickens. it does not.

me 3 could set a precedent. & it'd be a very good one. listen to your audience.

Colin Moriarty tweeted his "wisdom" about video game writers being dead or what not, so I tweeted "Thanks for the feedback, we'll pass this on to the developers!"

50,000 users versus 1.5 million other casual gamers, who spend lots of money on Spectre packs is definitely a minority.

Also, this belongs in the general discussion forum.

I've yet to say anything negative about anyone on this forum, and would never say anything bad about the BioWare employees, but this IGN stooge is a straight up corporate tool. The most uninformed person I've ever seen speak.

Doesn't it actually work against them to say that they asked around their offices and they couldn't find anyone at IGN who didn't like the ending? It doesn't help the perception they are biased.

Damn nonsense.

I have personally spoken to several gamers and mass effect fans, here in Stockholm Sweden.
4 out of 5 disliked the ending 3 of them disliked it strongly. The 5th was like: well, I don't care that much, I just liked the combat and focus on MP.

Its not a good statistical study, I know, but you know..

I prefer Elton John's Rocket Man.
