I'm stating IGN's side on the matter, hardly trolling when people are asking questions. But I forgot at BSN if you don't agree with us, you are a troll

Colin Moriarty tweeted his "wisdom" about video game writers being dead or what not, so I tweeted "Thanks for the feedback, we'll pass this on to the developers!"
Hilarious thing is the ME twitter refuted him on his "points".
I laughed when I saw the pic. So funny.
Where is this? I would love to see it.

IGN is a joke. Seriously.
I can't even be bothered to read their site anymore after how they handled this.
I could easily say the same of BSN members. The way you guys are handling the ending, your emotions, and demanding someone work to be altered for your pleasure of what their ending should be is a joke. I suppose its always easier to see other people's faults and not your own so continue hating IGN for their opinion, just like you hate Gametrailers, Kotaku, Destructiod, Sourcefed, Giant Bomb, and many many more who disagree with your opinion.
Everyone is a joke, but you.. the person who can't get over a video game ending lol.
The vast majority of us presented our grievances in a well thought out and civil manner. And as such Bioware listened (as they have always done) and decided what to do from there.
Most of the other big sites, once they realised what we were getting at, came around to what we were saying. Some continued to disagree but at least they made the attempt to understand.
IGN and Colin Moriarty are different in that he and they have no clue. Literally no clue what they are on about. And have never even made a token effort to learn. They have done nothing but attack and deride those that didnt like the ending, and completely ignore EVERYONE that attempted to respectfully enlighten them.
So yes, that does render IGN a bit of a joke.
They are supposed to be a journalism site after all. If you don't do the research for an article then you are not doing your job as a journalist.

Where was their "Fallout 3: A DANGEROUS PRECEDENT" video?
Or the "Prince of Persia Epilogue: A DANGEROUS PRECEDENT" video?
This.
Also
"Dead Space 2 Epilogue: A DANGEROUS PRECEDENT" video?
Clearly these were all abject failures that caused a spiraling decay of video game artistic integrity... oh wait. People loved them for it, and they were seen as successes. Hmmmmmm...
Clearly a case of space magic.

Since when did you ever hear of those that never speak up being the ones who pointed out flaws or encouraged change?
If so many were against this, then why aren't they louder then us, why aren't the polls ranked higher at the other spectrum?
And a final thing, If they can't respect Bioware after this then I'm already respecting Bioware ten times more then they ever did.

Changing ficiton is nothing new. Others have listed Fallout 3 and Prince of Persia. But what about films:
Star Wars
Lord of the Rings
Blade Runner
Donnie Darko
Metropolis
Apocalypse Now Redux
All of these films were changed after release.
Artists changing their work =/= Fan demands changing an artist's work
It's not a hard concept.

But you got the guy on the right, asking the "tough questions", and the guy on the left, giving his opinion. One side, one voice, one story. That is supposed to be professional journalism?
Where's the reflection, the other side, the arguments - and "what about my endings? I liked those!" is not really an argument against plot holes. And did I get that right, he admitted there are plot holes? And those do not bother him, at all? That makes me doubt his professionalism even more.
The day we have actual journalism in this industry, with real testing and solid opinions, will most likely be the day I'll be too old to play video games.

They have to finish the one for Sherlock Holmes, first. They've been at that one for a century.

How is the feedback system a "dangerous precedent"?
Because, if you watched the video and listened. How easy will be it be for fans to bully other developers by saying CHANGE YOUR ENDING!! WE HATE IT! BIOWARE DID IT!! wah wah wah you know, like you guys did to Bioware using Broken Steel? lol oh now it rings a bell huh? because you know its been used here many many times
So its too maintsream to please you fans now?

I can add Star Trek II: The Wraith of Khan to your list as well.
Changed pre-production due to Nimoy's change of heart, fan protests, and bleak test-viewings.

Also, Sherlock Holmes was brought back in 1903 by Sir Arther Conan Doyle after 8 years of public insistance. Learned that through all of this.
